🔨 Building System Updates
New buildable objects added to the build menu:
Rock foundation

🔧 Fixes & Improvements

Controller Input Remapping
Added Steam Input support for controller remapping. You can now customize controller keybinds via Steam Overlay (Shift + Tab) > Controller Settings.

Keyboard remapping is currently not supported at this time.

UI Fixes:
Fixed multiple controller-related UI issues in the main menu.
Fixed an issue with the creation panel where worlds couldn’t be deleted using a controller.
Can now manually enter a number when splitting items.

Tutorial Fixes:
Fixed a bug where skipping the tutorial boss fight could cause the player to spawn off the map.

Graphics & Settings:
Fixed a bug causing grass to disappear unexpectedly.
Fixed an issue with incorrect resolution settings in the options menu.
Building System Fixes:
Fixed a major bug where players couldn’t build when free build was turned off.

💾 Save System & Steam Cloud Updates
Player position is now saved individually per world. Each player now has their own saved location instead of a shared spawn.
Steam Cloud saving is now fully functional. Your progress will sync across devices.

Performance Improvements

Building Mechanics Update

Built floor objects (e.g., Foundations, Floors, Small Stairs, and Large Stairs) will now prevent the respawn of trees, bushes, rocks, or other ground lootable items until the built object is destroyed. This ensures trees and rocks do not respawn inside your structures.
However, you can strategically design your structures (e.g., using walls) to allow world objects to respawn as desired.

Demo Version 0.3 - Bug Fixes and Rebalancing

Armor & Mitigation:
The armor system has been rebalanced to make defense and health progression more rewarding. By default, armor mitigates up to 70% of incoming damage, with every 6 points of armor granting 1 damage mitigation. (Armor is gained from leveling up defense and from gear.)

Additionally, each Health level now raises the maximum armor mitigation cap by 1%, allowing players to reach 100% damage mitigation at 40 Health. (Default Health level is 10.)

Example of how damage mitigation works

Enemy deals 10 damage.
With 30 armor and 70% armor mitigation, you will mitigate 3.5 damage, resulting in the enemy dealing around 6-7 damage.
With 100% armor mitigation, you would mitigate 5 damage, resulting in 5 damage taken..
Even with the 70% armor mitigation cap, you can still fully absorb that 10 damage if you have enough armor. However, you'll miss out on the additional 30% mitigation that leveling up Health would unlock, effectively losing 30% potential damage reduction.

Blocking Improvements: Blocking attacks now reduces 50% of incoming mitigated damage. For example:

If an enemy deals 12 damage and you mitigate 6 damage due to your armor, blocking reduces the remaining damage to only 3! Blocking, however, costs significant stamina.

Added a shield break sound effect that triggers when all stamina is drained while blocking an attack.

Additional Updates:

Performance: Improved overall game performance.
Enemy Damage: Adjusted values to align better with the updated armor system, making encounters feel challenging but fair.
Inventory Buffs: You can now hover over buffs in the inventory to view descriptions of their effects.
Loading & Saving: Added error prevention for a smoother experience.
Save Data: Encryption removed; make of that what you will! :)
Visuals: Adjusted fog, lighting, and shadows for an enhanced atmosphere.
Settings: Added an option to toggle screen shake in the settings menu
You can now loot the random rocks scattered around the world.
you can now loot berries from bushes.
Significantly reduced the time required to loot items (like chopped wood and mined rocks)—now about 4x faster!

Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue with the Water Abominations water attack that was causing double damage.
Resolved a bug that prevented players from entering the Water Abominations arena.
Fixed various UI bugs for smoother interactions and improved usability.
Corrected a bug causing players to spawn under the map.
Fixed a bug that caused the game to stop working if players were hit hard while on a horse.
Resolved an issue that caused the horse to move very slowly.
