other than upgrading equipment, what is the point of slapping barbs?

does it make more spawn or something? reason I ask is because I am stuck, the thing that is holding me back is getting barb juice. I am trading for it but it's still slow going. I can do maybe 2/3 barb adventures in a 18 real life hour period if I stay on top of trading. any help would be appreciated.

Slapping borbs just increases your damage. Borbventures is mostly for getting things in Fire Fields.

ok I might have just reached end game then. I honestly can't see anything more to advance other than wait forever.

As I said other than waiting forever. dice are automated but to what end? Barbs as you said was for fire fields which I don't even know how to get. I can automate essences but at the rate I am going it's going to take forever to get the more advanced ones which I assume unlocks other stuff. again have to wait forever.
