The best way to deal with them is to collect a bunch (gravitity balls helps), get close to one of the corners (close but not completely in the corner) and then just wait a bit.

I was thinking I had to get more blowing power to throw them out.
Usually what I'll do for boosting my offline Plasma rate is Grav Ball while staying close to the center to build leaf speed and gather them, then after a few Balls, orbit the Plasma leaves as they're orbiting me. I get one big ball of Plasma, and after a good few seconds of binary orbiting, move it to the edge to make it all go off the screen at once.
The only place I turn off ALBs for piling is the Nebula, because it's not worth bothering to pile in the Fire Fields, and by the time you're in the Nebula, anything in the Leaf Galaxy isn't worth piling.
