what's the quickest way to get lots of cheese?

Use crafted leaves with the Trade Global Multiplier property to raise the value of your trades, and then trade for cheese. You can also boost trades with the Trading Scroll, which will raise your trading multiplier by 25%, after all other bonuses are applied. Try to get the Trade Global Multiplier stat in the stats dialog to say between one and five million percent, and you'll be good. I haven't noticed much increase (if any) in my cheese, beer, borb, and gem trades between five million percent, and seventy million percent.

Right now, I can trade for a few dozen million cheese per trade, and I've got almost a quarter trillion saved up. I'd spend some on unlocking more pyramid floors, but I already have up to floor -250 unlocked, and haven't even reached it yet. Haven't even bothered progressing past floor -155 for the milestone yet, though I probably should.

If you're just starting out, the fastest way is to buy the Cheesetor pet. It's not much, but it'll give you more than trading will (but only when you're just starting out) and you don't have to do anything for it.

Then you take that cheese and start crafting (or dump it into the Slot Machine in the Cheese Pub, if you've unlocked that, to get the Zoo Necklace because being able to use Butterflyo is awesome).

When you first start crafting you only care about one thing: Trade Global Multiplier. If you don't get that stat, just salvage the leaf you made and make another one. Don't worry about the quality of the leaf, or what type of leaf it is, just get 6 crafted leaves with whatever the highest Trade Global Multiplier you can get.

Don't stress too much about upgrading them either, because you'll be replacing them A LOT as you progress.

This boosts the amount of cheese you'll be able to get from trading.

To trade better, make sure you're also getting levels of the Bigger Bag upgrade in the BLC Shop (you need to trade things to get things, naturally, and the more you have the more you can trade for) and Trading Education. Getting to level 17 Trading Education is helpful, but 5 and up is a quick goal to reach when you're starting out.

You probably don't have mulch unlocked (or much of it either way), but Trade Optimization and Leaf Trader are helpful for cheese trading in case you do. Don't worry if you don't, you can get LOTS of cheese without them anyway.

When you start getting better trades for cheese, you can use that cheese to make more crafted leaves that give you more trade bonuses, and then you just repeat the process over and over again.
