To get better cheese and beer trades you need crafted leaves with the "trade global modifier" property. Obviously trade levels (blc/mlc shop) help as well, especially beer trades need to be level 17 or higher to be worth a lot (they provide much more at level 17 and up).
Finishing the bingo challenge helps as well.
Get some leaves with Trade Global Multiplier. The more you get, the more you can craft, so you make better ones.
Also getting hundreds of millions of Borbs, which just funnel into Cheese via the converter, since they're otherwise useless after unlocking the Cheese Pub and buying the Borb Taxi in the Gem shop.
beers in ones (1-3), and cheese in tens(20-50) is absolute bullcrap trading is without very long term save file
Yes it takes time to craft leaves, but everything in this game takes time. Get used to it. Its part of the game. If that isnt your thing, then maybe this genre is not for you if you are seeking instant gratification. By the end of the week your crafted leaf set can be done for a starter set. And over time, yes we all are upgrading leaves as we open up new leaf tiers to craft, again, its part of the progression.
Trade for sand early on to get your trade levels up some before it starts to get painful. Save the sand and use it for the couple trade skills it offers.
On the stats screen on the first tab is a stat for trading. It also tells you where you are level wise.
We understand that there's a wall. That's what we're trying to help you get over. Telling people who have been EXACTLY where you are that we're wrong and dumb and we should reset our games to know what it's REALLY like isn't going to help you (especially when you're talking to people who HAVE started from scratch, probably multiple times, through Challenges and seasons).
Get crafted leaves that have the Trade Global Multiplier.
It doesn't matter what quality they are, it doesn't matter what type they are, the only thing that matters is the bonus you get from them. Salvage leaves with the lowest bonus, keep your 8 leaves with the highest bonus.
Get Trading Education (at least level 17) and Bigger Bag (as much as possible) from the BLC Shop.
Equip Penguino (and Butterflyo if you have an extra pet slot). Make sure you have all your Unique Leaves active (and have the Water Leaf). Upgrade your (relevant) Pets and Unique Leaves to level 10.
Then TRADE FOR CHEESE AND BEER.
Ignore the stupid quests that give you practically nothing. They are, and always have been, a waste of materials.
Take all the cheese and beer you have and make BETTER crafted leaves. Then do it all again.
This shouldn't take you more than about half an hour of crafting to get some vaguely useful leaves to start trading, then waiting however long your trade time is, then another half hour to get better leaves for trading, and then that's basically it.
Don't just focus on Global Trade Multiplier, I didn't see good returns on beer under I had trading level up to about 24 and /then/ I started to see 1e4 trades for beer WITH all the bonuses to TGM. Until you are able to get Trade Level up, you won't see all that much worth a return trading for beer or cheese. Once you do, it does make so beer/cheese isn't much of an issue. I unlocked -100 several weeks before I had the damage to beat it.
Obviously more average players (aka less insane) will take a week or two, but even that is nothing compared to most idle games.
On top of that:
The newer catch up mechanics make all of this way easier than it was just a couple of months ago. In the pyramid phase you already have access to offline BLC, offline MLC, cards(!) and crafting mid tier leaves should already be a piece of cake.
BLC and MLC => higher trade levels.
And both are used to pay for most craft forge and craft hammer upgrades as well.
Meaning you already have access to some of the most powerful trading upgrades in the game. Use them.
Yes, beer trades take a lil longer to take up speed compared to cheese, but the cheese is main driver of early crafting hence it leads to better crafted leaves that boost cheese and beer trades even further.
Trading is one of the strongest mechanics in the game, and it opens up the flood gates to even stronger mechanics. For example gem trades: gem trades scale every 5 trade levels, up to 10 gems/ trade at trade level 50+. Oh, and later on you can have up to 13 trades going on 24/7, with a 2 minute trading time and a pet (Bearo) that >>>automatically<<< trades for you.
