Concern
So i just unlocked the black leaf hole to the sacred area, and the very first leaf says leafcenison reduced.

As soon as i saw that my head kinda exploded because i was at end game before. But with this new leafcenison what can i expect to be reset and whats not to get reset. I know of the star system where its one star that carries over for basic crunch, two stars for big crunch, and three stars for mega leaf crunch but i dont see anything for this.

Leafscension resets that specific leaf, you need to have the leaf maxed out at 1e300 to leafscend it

Leafscension requires having 1 e300 of a leaf type, which you can then leafscend into an L1 leaf of that type. There are six tiers of leafscension, with each tier beyond the first requiring 30 of the previous to leafscend to. That 30 can be reduced to as little as 16, and it's highly recommended you do that before making higher tier leafscended leaves.

What these leafscended leaves actually do, is they pair with Relics to give a massive boost to your blower and slap damage, as well as giving a percent increase to Sacred leaf rewards. Leaves that don't naturally spawn (Celestial, Obsidian, Benitoite, Ancient, and the seven Gem leaves) give five times the damage other leaves do.

The number of leafscended leaves you have of a specific type (and the type it is as noted above) determines your total bonus damage increase, multiplied by the number of Relics you have of that type. If you have one L1 Gold leaf, and two common Gold Relics, then you get twice the damage increase you would if you only had one Relic. By the same token, if you have 13 L1 Gold leaves, and 10 matching Relics, then you'll have 130 times the damage increase of the single L1 leaf.

Leafscending to higher tiers is well worth it, as the damage increase and Sacred leaf modifier given per leaf is multiplied by 40. Doing so is best done at the minimum leaf requirement of 16 previous tier leaves, and is also best done when you have at least five Relics of that type in the next tier, and 10 in the current.

Relics have a fairly low drop rate, but can be created through alchemy with nothing more than Sacred leaves and Shards. Early on, you'll have to farm the Centaur for Shards once you can beat him, and farm for Sacred leaves in the Ancient Sanctum, which requires killing the Centaur at least once. Later you can farm either the Vile Creature, or the Air Elemental, which will both drop Shards AND Sacred leaves.

Ok so that explains my question. But is there a new area thats there that i can farm essences. Because of the upgrade tree that adds levels to pets, uniques, blowers, and artifacts, im going to need a ton of that. And farming te witch to get less then 100 essence every 2 min 30 secs. Takes way to long.

The witch is the only way to farm essences, later on you'll be able to fuse ancient leaves into sacred and above leaves which will give you more essences when defeating the witch.

If you keep playing then the witch is going to become a very close personal friend, I hope you like her because you are going to be spending many hundreds of hours in her company !

Witch is love.
Witch is life.
...
Witch better give me essence, or there'll be strife.
Forget the blower, I'll bring a knife.

Don't worry, essences from the Witch can be increased. Via crafted leaves, for an early Witch set, you'll want the Witch Essences property, and probably Witch Curses over Brew Crit Chance, though for higher tier leaves, you'll want to swap to the latter.

Also don't forget the Witcho pet, which is a HUGE help in getting essences from the Witch at all stages of the game. Butterflyo will also boost Witcho, so use it, too.

Scrolls also help. Use the Pet scroll, and if you have the Pet Leaf (obtained by using the Large Trout in the Abandoned Research Station while having 10 e3 Sacred leaves) and the Unique Unique Leaf (Large Trout in the Infernal Desert while having 1 e9 Sand leaves) the Unique Leaves Scroll also helps.

Lastly, cards. You can easily enough farm a lot of cards from the Tower to get Transcension Card Parts to boost the chance that cards drop, especially from bosses, and the Witch's cards increase essences and curses from the Witch.

Right now, I'm getting ~400 of each essence from the Witch, and my crafted leaves, while largely boosting Witch Essences, aren't actually dedicated to it, and are an eclectic mix of different leaf tiers.

F-Tang Shadow has some good advice there, you could consider getting to the witch as being a new major layer of the game which (mostly) takes you beyond leaves.
You will focus more on crafting leaf sets to target particular bonus types such as witch essence modifier, brew crit, tower floor, witch curse%+, and hybrid sets once you can focus specific traits with up to 20 shards per leaf.
It may seem like a lot to deal with but once you get the hang of things you will learn where you need to focus your efforts to get where you need to be.
The introduction of cards makes a huge difference as has been said by the others, card farming and pushing your boss drop chance will greatly speed up essence farming and help you advance much faster than you may realise.
I think the best advice I could offer is to check out the games discord as there are full breakdowns of pretty much everything you might want to know with some very useful resources such as spreadsheets detailing your path from your first fused sacred leaf all the way to a full plasma set - it's a long path but worth the effort !
