Am I doing something wrong or is it the game?

I am having a few problems. The game isn't saving properly or finding the seasons when I try to get there about half the time. If I am on my main game, about half the time when I try to switch to seasons it goes to a page "searching for seasons" and doesn't actually move off of that page (I have waited over 5 min). It actually won't find the seasons unless I save and quit the game, then re-log on.

About half the time when I go to save and switch back to my main game it tells me that it failed to save, wait 15 seconds and try again. I wait, try again and nothing changes. I do this multiple times and it still doesn't work. It also won't met me save and quit. I have to force quit the game and I lose all of my progress. I lost my daily rewards yesterday. (I collected them, and it wouldn't let me save and change over or save and quit. I force quit and the option to collect my daily rewards isn't there when I get back, but neither are my red and blue gems)

Because this game is rather notorious for memory leaks, I leave my task manager up at all times to see if it is overloading anything. So far, since the season has started, there hasn't been any excessive demands on my computer.

The servers for this season are... not good. I can't exit the season without losing a days worth of progress and nothing seems to help. No one can go in and no one can come out because of the server issues. Looks like we are getting a repeat of season 3. Nothing we can do except wait.

Seems like the dev has zero luck when it comes to finding reliable servers. It's kind of amazing when you think about it, as I'd assume even a simple server would do the job since you wouldn't think such a simple game would have any problems or have such a large number of people playing it.

I imagine his hair turning grey from the crappy season server situation right about now.

Cheesetor has given us a solution! Update to the latest version and that should fix it. If you can't save and don't want to lose hours of progress to this:

If you're still in seasons and your game can't upload the save, please do the following:

- Go to %localappdata%/blow_the_leaves_away/ and create a file called "save.tmp" if it doesn't exist already
- Right-click on this file, click on properties, and make it write protected
- Open any chest or clear a pyramid floor which triggers the save routine.
- A new file called save-invalid.dat should be created in the same folder. Copy this file and send it to me via email ([e-mail]) along with your registered email address. I'll import the save files on Monday.

... personally i expect another hotfix to hit the servers pretty fast. ^^

I can only imagine that the next season will end up on a completely new server, but somehow start two days before the entire server farm catches fire.

Can't just select the 'save' option in the menu? Seems like that'd be easier (and open to more players who haven't hit the Pyramid yet).

Another option. Use code test456 instead of the pyramid. It can only be claimed once though so be careful.

It's not. I just errored out trying to save my season char, and it won't let me even try again. I couldn't even play last season past the first day, and now this? As nice as the seasons and their rewards are, they're basically unplayable.

I am having even more problems since the "fix". Now, my main game won't even save properly and every time I try to go to the season, it says there is no season info. I have been trying for almost 2 hours. I enjoy this game, but it is very quickly becoming unplayable.

The seasonal game is currently ♥♥♥♥♥♥ beyond belief - many are unable to even get into their seasonal file with others (including me) suffering huge loss of progress. There is currently no fix what so ever.

Yeah, I'm having the exact same problem. I thought it was a problem with my VPN at first.
I was about to make my first blc and I got this weird error log and a button saying "Aight".
How is this so horrendously broken?

From the sound of things on Discord the server overheated, the season is pretty much dead for now. May as well focus on your main game until things are resolved but no idea if/when that may happen.
