Obsidian and Benitoite Seeds

Do these seeds only spawn in the areas where the leaves spawn?

No, they are just rare. I get about 1 of either obsidian or benitotite seed per hour, with racoono, in the volcano.

All seeds spawn in all areas.

But the seeds from leaves you have to combine don't have a fertiliser upgrade, so they have a 1% spawn chance.

You might have more luck if you don't upgrade other leaves fertiliser.

From what I can tell best bet is to farm a bunch of leaf/flask by AFK then waiting for a trade deal that offers enough leaves to buy your starter seeds. Then use Racoono to snag the rest.

They have a REALLY small chance to spawn. It's 1%. It's a 1% CHANCE to spawn, fighting with every other seed and their higher spawn chances.

So yeah, it's hard to get them.

Try doing a crunch or prestige after turning off the fertilisation of all the other leaf types to make those seeds less likely to spawn.

Don't worry if you don't get any. Nothing is broken it's just really rare.

That must be REAAAALLLLYYYYY small.... -> 654 hrs on record. Never seen or noticed one spawning. Got every other seed spawning. Except these.

roughly 1 each an hour with raccoono and the more seeds gem upgrade. so yeah very small. Watch the amounts of the leaves. it took me 3 days to see the first seed but the count would occasionally be higher in amounts that could only be a seed,

It's also important to remember not to spend all your leaves on seed upgrades as soon as you're able to, otherwise you don't have as many leaves to get a percentage of.

When using Strange Seed Bags all seeds have the same chance (In the current version I am typing this 1.9.8)

What's Rainbow leaf?

And 1 seed level only gives you 1% of your total, not 51%.

Oh wow, it's been so long I forgot unique leaves even existed. Once you get them you never need to look at them again.

I suppose it depends exactly how that works. It might just give you an extra 50% of your 1%.

when I did it it was additive, I never saw any patch notes stating other wise so I assume it's still the same
