Equip the Flocko pet and buy Faster Artifacts for 500 Gems. Also, purchase as many Fruitifacts upgrades as possible. That's all I can think of, off the top of my head.

Enable Gem Upgrades

Use personal preference for all other options.

Prestige from time to time to get as many Fruit Trees upgrades as possible. You get more prestige coins the more leaves and seeds you collect (and having a larger bag makes you accumulate more prestige coins faster, instead of relying on seeds only). Getting more prestige coins is the only way to keep making this faster (at the moment).

Only spend BLC once you have enough so that spending it doesn't decrease the amount you get from using an Orb. Prioritise getting a bigger bag to make getting prestige coins easier.

Raccoono should only be used if you have the Zoo Necklace. Collecting seeds is a way to increase the amount of coins you get when you prestige by a (very) small amount once you have maxed out your leaf collection. This isn't something you should care too much about, but I'm mentioning it as another option in case you find it helpful.

Sit in the Volcano area and wait/idle. Do not collect other artifacts. Having artifacts expiring stops them from taking the Fruitifacts bonus, meaning if every other artifact has spawned and is expiring every fruit you collect will reduce the time on the Orb of BLC.

I still don't quite understand what you're saying in the last paragraph. Could you please show video proof of this? Also, does this mean I was not supposed to collect even one of the other artifacts?

What he means is that artifacts that are active do not take the -x seconds from fruits anymore.
If none are spawned, BLC orbs has 1/5 chance of having its time reduced per fruit.
If 2 are spawned, BLC orbs has 1/3 chance of having its time reduced per fruit.
If the other 4 are spawned, BLC orbs has 100% chance of having its time reduced per fruit.

To expand on what frerouche said, Artifacts can either be 'spawned' or 'spawning'

Spawned artifacts sit in the area they spawn in and just wait for you to pick them up. They have an expiry timer that shows you how long until they disappear.

Spawning artifacts are the ones that have a countdown timer that shows you how long until they spawn.

The Fruitifacts upgrade reduces a random countdown timer. It doesn't reduce random expiry timers.

If there's only one countdown timer to randomly choose from, there's only one thing it chooses.

You CAN collect the other artifacts, but that slows down how fast the Orbs spawn by spreading out the Fruitifact time reduction. Also, the other artifacts are basically completely useless, so they're a bit of a waste of your time to collect in the first place which is a real shame.

Oh crap, I read this AFTER I activated all the other artifacts. Does that mean I basically shot myself in the foot?

No, this is irrelevant of how many times you've collected the artifacts so far, so you're good.

I didn't put this bit together either. Thanks for the information on that, I'd been doing it anyway 'cause I'm too lazy to switch back and forth between areas but it's good information to know.

I wonder if it might be worth it to grab the fruit spawning one just before it times out. As you could drain 20X seconds off the BLC orb's time if you use it when orb is the only one not spawned.

It kind of is, but mostly isn't.

The Enchanted Fruit spawns 20 fruit. That's 200 seconds you can take off, which definitely isn't nothing.

But chances are pretty good that you're getting 99% of your Orbs by being AFK. As in, you're not going to be there to collect the Enchanted Fruit at the last minute. If you ARE sitting there waiting for the clock to tick down, how much time are you spending waiting vs how much time you save collecting the Enchanted Fruit?

If you wait for it to tick down more than 200 seconds, that's wasted time. Yeah, you'll get an Orb a little faster, but you're spending more than 200 seconds to save 200 seconds.

Or...

I'll give you $10 that you can spend on something you don't want if you give me $20 I can spend on something I do want.

In addition to that, when you change areas you lose any fruit already spawned in your previous area. So you've got to collect all the fruit and hope more doesn't spawn just as you swap areas, otherwise you're potentially wasting fruit anyway. And when you've got lots of Fruit Trees upgrades that can potentially be a LOT of fruit lost. If this happens, you're losing fruit to gain a more fruit.

Alternatively, you can open the game, go to the volcano, and just let it sit in the background getting you Orbs and not getting bothered by it.

Makes sense. In game efficiency < better use of time doing other things as you let it run in the background.
