How do i unlock the last 2-3 science flask upgrades, that are blacked out?

When you get to the point where they matter, they will not be blacked out.

I am at the hidden sea, i know these are health upgrades, i die instantly at the sea, so id like to have them, i have the blc health regen upgrade. Why shouldnt i need them, is there another way to survive?

You've unlocked both obsidian leaves and the Hidden Sea area, and it's still not allowing you those upgrades?

do you have the volcano you probably do but just in case you traded for leaves a lot

...if you've got the BLC health upgrade, you shouldn't need any health upgrades until you get to the Tower. Perma HP Regen covers literally everything else.

The hidden flask upgrades are for BLC (until you unlock that, which I'm assuming you have based on your area) and a health and damage reduction upgrade that are unlocked when you unlock when you start taking damage from being in the Volcano.

If you're past these points, something strange is going on.
