Auto Buy doesn't work

I know people are already complaining about the auto-buyers' strange priorities, but for me at least, the auto buyers, specifically for the science flasks, don't seem to work, or they *kinda* work but break very easily. Often, the items in the red flasks will auto-buy correctly, and then every flask type thereafter is more and more likely to break, and will unlock the next flask type but won't auto buy anything else in the shop. Magenta works about half the time, purple rarely, and I always have to manually buy everything in the black and strange flask shops except for the strange flasks themselves, including the BLC option.

I think the auto-buyer gets confused when too many things are available to auto-buy at once, or if the amount of leaves/flasks available rockets past the price of an upgrade too quickly. Luckily, I can jog the autobuyer's memory; if I manually purchase an upgrade in the shop up to the point where it takes some short while for the leaves/flasks available to catch back up to the sell price (but not if it overtakes it immediately again), the autobuyer will start working again, for all the good it does me.

This is a pain in the neck, and I really hope it gets fixed fast.

EDIT: I think this also eventually corrects itself if I just let it sit for a minute or two, but I'm trying to do rapid BLC crunches, so this throws a wrench in that.

Yes. For the rapid crunches you need to do some of it manually, because the priorities assume long term efficiency and not a short term push to an early goal.

Uncheck everything that doesn't directly help you, and manually do the upgrades for strange flasks. It will save you a lot of time if you do it in an order optimal for your target max upgrades. Quick hint: Start with C++

The "issue" with the auto-buyer is that it seems to go throug a cycle of all items it should auto-buy and when it could upgrade anything it starts this cycle again

What i noticed in all my rounds is that the upgrades will be bought but the later the upgrade is in the line the longer it takes due all upgrades before have "higher priority".

For example the strange flask takes the longest time until the auto-buyer even considers them while they still have recources to upgrade things. I mostly see that 1st red flasks are upgrades, then green ones and if reds are available again those gets upgrades instead of the blue ones.

So it looks for me more like an "reseted" process that always goes back to square one if it could complete any upgrade.

They aren't broken, they just cycle through ALL available flask upgrades and do them one at a time, working it's way from the lowest to highest tier flasks. So when it APPEARS to not work it's actually very busy upgrading lower tier flasks first. Just go back and watch it work it's way through the different flasks. Give it a minute and it'll catch up.

Particularly in the early stages of the game that is a very good thing, because it's important to upgrade lower tier flasks before it can spend all of them on conversion, making it unable to upgrade.

It is frustrating but it basically comes down to 1 Bot being used to manage all the flasks.
The reason everything else auto-buys so well is because it has its own for the leaves.
By the time you have enough Strange Flasks to start upgrading the Bot is a bit behind because it is still trying to figure out how to upgrade the other flasks.

This is the biggest problem with fast "auto resetting" since as Tenzek stated you still have to do some of the Bots work manually for the most optimal speed.

I see this means there's almost no point to having auto crunch if I have to sit and babysit the red flasks to make sure they even start to give you the black flask menu so that the BLC will even unlock again for subsequent crunches. The leaf automation must be what's preventing the red flask from unlocking some of the time.

Oh I think it was cause I didn't have the void upgrade bot yet. hmmmm Will see how long that works for now...

I noticed this too. Seems to me the more I watch for it the more it happens. If I leave things alone they seem to work them selves out.
