Entering the City, Wolfs Den, Old Town, Monastery- Chapter 1
I thought I might share a trick or two about entering locations in Chapter 1 you're technically not supposed to enter. You won't be able to really interact with some NPCs (for instance traders won't have anything to sell), but you can explore and rob the places you're going.
You can also reach some teachers before chapter 2 like the alchemy lvl 2 teacher in the Sisters Cauldron, the hunting teacher Nirka for fangs or the extraction 90% trainer Dack in the harbour. This means you can reach 98% extraction (3% book at the merchants mine, 5% at the north gate of silbach) in chapter 1 before you enter the mine.

I'll start with the easy one most people know about, the Wolf's Den.
When you stand infront of the gate, go left until you reach the edge of the wall. There's a big boulder embedded into the wall you can climb or jump on (can be a bit tricky). From there you can jump behind the wall into the castle. Side note: if you want to enter Ulryk's throne room, you can just summon a wolf to distract the guard and slip by.

Next up, the city. This one is a bit tricky cause normally you get shot by a crossbowman when you try to enter the city unallowed. This still occurs inside the city if you come too close to the harbour area (more on how to avoid that later).
You can enter it by walking left at the west gate until you reach the forest scavenger hut with the magic circle book in it. If you look towards the city from there you'll find a big tree (close beneath the plateau atop of the city) that has two branches. Get close to the tree, climb the branch pointing away from the edge and carefully walk on it, until you can safely jump on the one closer to the edge. From there you can jump onto the plateau atop the city and jump down jnto the city close to the merchant sewer entrance. Might take you a minute or two, but you'll get the hang of it.
To enter oldtown you can simply use the same summon wolf trick you used in the Wolf's Den earlier. It's actually a very nice thieving experience, cause everyone will atack you when you come too close!
The harbour area is a bit more tricky. If you try to enter it via the city you'll get shot once you get to close, but you can avoid that by using the sewers. Just enter them and go to the lower levels of the sewers (where the normal alligators are). Take the lift at the vagrants camp and you'll find yourself within the harbour area without getting shot at.

The monastery is probably the most tricky one. While you can get through the gates quite easy (just walk sideways at them until your character is clipped halfway through the gate and draw your weapon to "push" yourself backways through the three gates), the inside is another story, because all the doors are locked and can't be opened. The only way to enter the rooms is to use transform spells. Using such a spell relocates your character by a bit and can push you through these locked doors when you change / change back.

Hopefully this has helped some of you guys. Keep in mind that all of these ways are not intended and by definition have to be considered exploits, so use them at your own peril.

You really shouldnt enter locations before you have the quests to do so, because you might end up screwing your savegame without being able to restore it!

Patch 1.3 will make all NPCs in these locations aggressive.

Players are not supposed to go there and want to make sure they won't.

Good idea, better than invisible walls.

Actually I think invisible walls are the better option. Take Oldtown for example: every NPC is going to attack you at the moment, but you can still avoid them and loot the place.

I don't know how hard it would be to increase the instant kill range for unallowed access to the city (crossbowman), because this is probably the most effective solution.

The fact that I can explain how to use these exploits does not mean I do not want them fixed. ;)

If we could add invisible walls, we would xD
But we can't edit world map (archolos.zen) or saves will break.
