Any other Overhaul mods i should try?

I'd really like to try some more gothic story mods but i dont wanna play anything that diverts tooo much away from the actual lore of the Gothic universe.

I know anything not made by PB it's cannon but i still like to try and pretend since we wont ever get anymore gothic continuations

So if you know any decent, lore friendly Story mods i'd love to try some out :^)

I think everyone is now waiting for History of Khorinis, hoping it will be as good as Archolos.

I don't know any other G2-based games like that,

But I would recommend you Enderal Forgotten Stories for special edition of Skyrim. It is a masterpiece, like Archolos.

unfortunately i have bad News for you, Paul. It seems that History of Khorinis is not, what it seems. There was an update a couple of month ago, where the Head-Leader gave away a current build for.. wait for it.. Nudes.

If this Version is true, the last 2 years would be little to no developement.

Golden Gate is "playable" and you may enjoy it, but Xeres is not, absolutely do not touch it. I'm not going to explain why or go into details.

I heard about the leak but this is the first im hearing about the nudes aspect.

So like, did the lead dev post someones nudes or is there nudity in the game? Cause if its just nudity in the game that doesn't bother me at all.

Please refrain from talking about HoK anymore.
While their pretty recent build did indeed get leaked nudes weren't involved.
Seriously drop HoK topic.

Gladiator is... well... The idea is good, mod is playable but I don't think you will be 'happy' playing it. More like irritated about how unclear that mod is and lost for the same reason.

Yeah, i honestly have no idea about any of that lol I just enjoy good games.

So im guessing Gladiator is just combat after combat with very little emphasis on the story? Cause i wouldn't be all that interested then tbh.

I guess i'll try Golden Gate and wait for you guys to come out with Mod Of The Decade Edition cause onces thats out, i plan on replaying through the entire series (again but ive only ever play vanilla 1-2 with texture mods) with some mods for gothic 1 and 2. Idk what ima pick when i replay Gothic 1 but i know ima try out Returning 2.0 since ive heard alot of really good things.

I may even try and mod Gothic 3 into a state that will make it more fun. I heard about this new patch called Parallel Universe thats suppose to fix alot of the games issues on top of some of mods i know of that'll help fix alot of my personal gripes about the game

Maybe if i play and finish G3 i'll actually go ahead and play through Risin xD

Gladiator is 'unclear'. It is bad at telling the player what to do and how.
Yes, it has emphasis on combat as well, you fight sponges.
Still requires bug-fixing and from what I know the story isn't actually completed.

Golden Gate is fine but it's old and not up to "todays standards".
Don't know if it's true but around the release of Golden Gate 2 in the future authors may 'remaster' GG1. But yeah, I have no confirmation.

Don't play Returning 2.0. Play **New Balance** mod - the current version. These mods are two different, separete things today.

No mods improve Gothic 3 in any meaningful way. They only add more fetch or kill quest with even worse rewards than vanilla.
Also this game is simply wrong from the very fundamentals.
Simply bad design all over the place.

Risen is better but as always with PB games after G2NotR - you will enjoy the game for less than 10 hours before it gets repetitive with enemy swarms and boring story.

Im obviously new in the Gothic modding community so i really dont know a great deal of whats what so i'll for sure take your advice with the new balance mod of returning.

I just remember watching a video titles "How to play Gothic 3 in 2018", a video probably most of seen and it compelled me enough to at least try so we'll see with G3 if i end up playing it or not.

Im pretty patient when its comes to rpgs. Hence why i was able to finish both Elex 1 and 2 (Especially 2 cause that games was just...it was something lol) but Elex 1 i really liked, its what actually prompted me to try out Gothic but CoM is what really made me a fan of the series. But with Risin two, I read some decent stuff about it and i know theirs a community mod that helps with alot of the issues.
