Timed Quests / Jorn can die?

Hi Everyone
I read in another forum that some quest have an "hiden" timer. I mean if i dealy to complete any quest a few time, maybe any character can die or lose that quest (for example).
For me, the two npc at the cave in the begging appear died for example.

The question is: Jorn (my brother) just being kidnapped, It's possible lose my brother if i dealy that quest a lot of time?
How many timed quest are in Archolos?

I have seen no timed quest so far. I'm at chapter 5 and no quest ever appeared as failed even when delayed a lot. Nothing like in pathfinder anyway.

There is at least one quest in the first village, that has a time limit(the one that teaches you to transcribe scrolls), as the NPC leaves the village after a few days, and the quest fails and adds the text that the NPC finished the task himself and departed.
Though I don't think there are a lot of these quests, at least haven't encountered another one so far.

You can actually save one of the NPCs in the cave.

Yeah i saw a video about that but i could not save "her" even i restarted the game and went back to the cave very quickly.

Actually finding Jorn IS a timed quest.

Spoiler below for main story:

It just doesn't depend actually on time, but quests. If you follow only the main quests when you find Jorn he's still alive and you finish the game in Chapter 4.

As for saving that NPC it depends not on time but your decision who you followed.

Can only happen in chapter 2.

You Are skipping so many quests then. That's not how you should play Gothic game, noobie.

Based on both the armors I've seen around and even the names of the factions themselves in this mod similarly to gothic 2, I'd say the guards are better for heavier armor.

However, go look at bloodwyn in the merchant gold mine, his armor seems pretty heavy, so it might be that both are pretty close at the high levels.

You can always use marvin to go into him by typing "o" while facing him (as well as others) and then tab over and check the armor stats for comparison if it's that important to you.
