tries to be like AoE2 but fails miserably
it's certainly more like 2 then 3
graphics are not as bad as people want to make them out to be, the gameplay is solid and the different empires make all their own thing without beeing a copy&paste like aoe2
AoE4 is very much like AoE1&2. Before deciding though you should watch some streams of it. It's too early for me to give a recommendation but I am enjoying it.
Youtube is better you can pause at any moment and skip boring parts.
I love 2 and hate 3 also. 4 is better than 3, but the problem is the camera zoom. It's too close, just like it is/was in 3.
3 was still fun to me, but seems like all they have done since then is give us 2 multiple times. Not a stand alone AoE game, its just 2 over again. They don't know how to make good games anymore and stopped listening to feedback. There is no point to buy 4, just buy 2 again.
One is the haters, all they like is AoE 2. They want everything to be just like AoE 2.
Two is the general public, They will tell you its decent. Its playable and enjoyable.
And that 1 civ had like 2 different units when you changed it's name, age 3 had way more variety just within the european nations, and when you pick a different culture group it was completelly different.
Nope, it was added in AoE III and was a failure
