Rework of Infected and Defenses
My issue with the hordes is how much damage they cause to buildings, especially walls. Especially dogs are bulldozers, and that is ridiculous. Like... how can a couple of dogs destroy a concrete wall? The way buildings currently work ingame also doesn't make it easier to build decent walls in urban areas because, at least for me, they can easily flank the wall by "using" buildings except when they are occupied by squads and wrecking buildings takes forever. I know that it is EA but I think my proposal(s) could help the development and ultimately the game.

My (preferred) solution is:
Add "Defense Houses," which are similar to towers. They are basically bunkers with more health, that prevent Infected and humans alike from Blitzkrieging and flanking your walls/ making the construction of walls easier while also being able to attack them. Bunkers can only attack towards one direction and are defenseless if enemies attack them from the sides and rear and Infected can entire the building from the rear, but not through the front unless they manage to destroy or overclimb the fortified side.
Normal Infected can only damage wooden walls. Alphas can destroy metal walls too. Humans can destroy concrete walls and buildings with explosives (and eventually vehicles, apart from the Military). Infected cannot destroy buildings apart from the HQ, only being able to cleanse and occupy them if there are no defensive workers and squads alive. Only medical buildings need to be redone due to hygiene reasons.
At a certain number, Infected are able to climb over walls and certain houses (similar to World War Z and there are game photos where Infected try to climb a wall). Dogs are able to dig under walls, requiring you to monitor the perimeter to prevent tunnels.
Infected and humans can use tunnels and sewer systems, making it more important to use the right location to settle down. Alphas cannot go into sewers due to their size.

Or the easier solution:
Nerf their damage to walls by like 50% for wooden walls, 75% for metal walls, and 90% for concrete walls. Maybe also against normal buildings by 50%. (Numbers open to discussion).

So what do you think?

I would also like to know how dogs became bulldozers just because of an infection

Wall is mean to take damage instead of tower.
U will end up with of alot of bricks . so this wall damage helps to sink some bricks.

I think this sounds mostly what I'd want to see, or what I at least what to be an option. Realistically speaking a zombie biting or scratching a concrete wall leads to nothing more than the zombie losing its teeth & finger nails.

The game's early access, but early access is there to get feedback & input.

While I also think that there is a certain imbalance between the amount of infected doing damage at the same time vs how long walls hold and how quickly you can dispatch them, asking for a 99% damage reduction makes it difficult for me to take the post seriously.

As such, have this.

With effort.
(and while it is mostly a joke, it isn't just a joke. you are severly underestimating how much damage animals (humans included) can do if they disregard their own wellbeing.)

Well. I have no real idea about the numbers so I just threw a bunch of them. I am open to adjustments.

A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
