Is this game anything like the Rebuild flash games?

The Rebuild flash games (which are actually also on Steam) are a lot of fun but pretty old at this point and I'm curious if this game is anything like those. From the screenshots it looks a little bit similar and I think it'd be really cool if it took that formula and added more to it, but it's hard to tell from the screenshots and trailers.

It's in its very early stages so i'd hold off if i were you but the idea is pretty similiar, you start with a bunch of ragtag survivors wherever you want and adapt the buildings around you to suit your needs but definitely hold off on buying because the balancing still needs lots of work and the game is far from being feature complete, i did play the rebuild games religiously when I was younger so I know whatcha mean, they were really fun

It has the same general idea, yes. The execution is a bit different though and that's actually a good thing, since it doesn't make the game feel like a 3D version of rebuild. It has a lot of "Surviving the aftermath" vibes to it as well, with buildings triggering their own events etc.

It has potential but i'd hold off 3 months for them to fix the game breaking bugs.. maybe more for them to add QOL stuff.. there's just too many micro management..
Half the game is basically garrisoning your squads in buildings or vehicles manually after their task has been done.

They need a "Scavenge the buildings in this area" button.

Apparently that is coming, albeit as I understand with worker as opposed to squads.
