Can't save games

Autosaves fail and I get an error message trying to save manually. If there is something I call a game breaking bug, this is it. It is od, becasue it was not happenign earlier in the run. Devs?

I was having this happen too as well as the game starting to freeze on autosave after about an hour of playing.

I tried deleting previous save files and this does not resolve the failed manual/auto saves.

I'm having the same issue 32 days into my current run. That's the last auto-save. I played until day 35 after.

There is a mission that doesn't complete on the map - if that has anything to do with it? I was going to rescue the schmucks who tries to demand food after kidnapping my people. Cleared out some infected outside the building, but when I sent my troops inside nothing happened and the quest marker remains - even though I no longer have a quest listed.

Currently playing in Yamunanagar, India...

I was able to load the latest auto-save and create a new save file from there. The next morning the game is unable to save anymore. I tried sending all my squads home doing nothing (except fight some doggies that attack in the morning) - so this is where something corrupts.

I still have the save file if you need me to send it to you.

Same for me - I noticed it when I created a square fence line of buildings to be dismantled. Loaded last autosave and the save worked, however when I went to do the dismantle square again it wouldn't work.

So keen to play, wish this would get fixed to enjoy mid-late game.

The moment 4 a.m. hits, it cannot be saved.
Until then before, I can manually save.

If I try to save manually after 4 AM, a save error occurs. At 6:00 AM, when the automatic save is in progress, a save error appears and the game turns off.

Other oddities during this game include :
After beating the Squad (Hostage X) quest to clear out a neighborhood, the quest marker is still floating with no completion.

Also can`t save game.
Close game, start again. Can`t save agane.
Repeat.
Save is working about 0.5 of game time day.
And again. save is not working.

I had the same problem, not continuing loading from where i have left and and not loading from my safe files, after doing this it has resolved my problems for now, delete all old save files and encounter at last 4 yellow human encounters to decide to take them in or fight with them. I can confirm if you want to save your file be sure they should no yellow colour human arounds. For now that has worked for me.

We know about the issue with saves, we’re trying to fix it. As of now, you may try not saving during construction/repair/deconstruction. It might help. Check if this is also happening on the open beta.
Please add me to friends and send me your corrupted save file. It might help us to fix the issue.

So... we cant save at all? i mean, THIS IS THE IDEA of the game : build, adapt, repair 24/24.

Yeah, I know, but was the only known workaround then. Should be fixed by now.

As of now we're receiving very seldom reports about saves, work well for vast majority of players. If you can send me your broken save file, we'll see what we can do for you.

First of all check your HD/SSD space. If you're not running out, check out your steam cloud settings.
