How to fully adoptate building

I settled in a big building. The game that only small part of the bulding is inhabited. How to fully inhabitate this bulding? I don't see any buttons to do that.

If you want to use a large building as your HQ, you can designate the building as an HQ with the button on the bottom left ( Same button you use to make a building to be a warehouse or shelter). Obviously use just the HQ button. Only issue with using a large building is it take a ton of resources. The reason the game initially makes only part of the building is to save resources, as from the start you don't have a lot. And the time it would take to get that many would be a few in game days. i started a game in this big bulding. My HQ is already there. And only a small part of this building is populated. I want inhabit every part of this bulding because my storages are full and this building can storage everything.

all u gota do is slect the building type it is. LEFT Mouse and HOLD. drag rest of the building in.

I think he's asking how to expand a already built hq not new building? Can we expand already built building or do we have to delete hq and build it over again?

Mate, he just wrote how to do it :D You want to expand HQ? Choose HQ from building menu and drag it over partially adapted building where you already have HQ. Same for other types.
