Hills and Wall building
So thats broken. I Love the update so far but I stopped playing here.. its game breaking.

Played the San fran Map to test the new features.. While the Aesthetics of the hills look great they prevent any Wall building on them. This unfortunately is game breaking since the goal is to build a strong fortress to survive from.. on the san fran map you cannot build down greenwich street. sent the report. But seeing as theres a field for farming there and buildings south of the predetermined base a wall down that street is pertinent.. even barbed wire cannot be built on hills.

I know you guys are likely already looking into this but be hasty as its something that needs to be corrected and updated immedietly as it breaks our ability to play those maps.. The odd thing is that the walls highlight in that they can logically be built with some engineering skill.. but they are red'ed out..

Anyone else getting this issue or is my PC just a rebel lol :steammocking:

You have to build those sections in small increments. At least it runs better than edinburgh castle: terrible building/pathing location. Zombies can still run up hill/cliff/water.

did they fix the wall strength? i havent played in awhile but i spent a ton of resources and time building walls to have the first wave of the night creatures just blast through them in about 5 seconds. was waiting for some notice that this had been fixed.

Yeah noticed the same thing, but if the zombies can run up cliffs, what is the point of the terrain? I would love to take it off but too late I guess. You can build the walls in small increments but you will not be able to place a gate on it, at least I have not been able to.
Solution is to build the gate first ;or if the ground is not flat enough, use wooden walls to glitch it flat'ish then proceed placing the gate/ dismantle walls then build gate. Barbwire shud be an upgrade research for walls instead of building them, it's been brought up before but keeps getting pushed aside for other game breaking bugfixes/new EA stuff.

I tried to bvuild them in small increments.. doesnt take.. even on section.. I havent gotten to try the cliffs area in edenburg yet.. it an interesting glitch considering the game maps everything from gmaps... I still find it to be a great Idea for map development.. noone has even done such a thing.. not gonna lie I was kind ok with everything being flat.. except the bridges lol.. I really wanted to test out the trader but couldn't get that far..

You know in real life.. before we build any walls in the combat zone we build a triple strand concertina wire wall? engies dont come to build stone wallage for months.. wire is NOT an upgrade for walls.. its the first line of defense.. even if you have to jury rig it out of regular fence by cutting the edges sharp and retwisiting the coils...

Im glad they didnt listen to you guys on this one... wire AFTER walls?... no.. thats not very realistic at all...

Great to know, will it be auto updated as a tweak or will it be released in the next package update?

once its fixed I'll jump back in there with a new game.. but cant defend an open base in this game lol the infected dont play with us when it comes to slaughtering us all haha :steamfacepalm:
