Edit: i scavenged the whole place. Mission stops, no further dialog
the problem is if I leave the area, the quest will gone. And there were 3 horde already but the last one somehow didn't count.
as long as any squad is in the tile somewhere it shouldn't reset
(every mission will bug in rare instances)
good to know that there is still have temporary fix, I'll give it a try. Thx.
I'm going to try using 2 squads - 1 will stay there to keep it active, 2nd will try and draw aggro there.
I still managed to complete the mission.
I restarted a save just before arriving at the point of interest. I had the bug several times (4 times) but the 5th time, the mission ran correctly.
So this bug seems to be random.
Waiting for a patch, you can try to restart your saves, hoping not to have too many attempts to unlock the mission.
went to the meeting point with machete-only squad, found a lot of infected, ordered squad to flee, mission bugged.
