How does Kindergarten get unlocked?

Explain this to me like I'm stupid and missed something. I'm sure I missed something, but all I'm getting is 'scavenge the neighborhood'.

Your survivors need to produce at least one child.
They only do if they're content (approx 3/5 bars).

They're very happy. Almost everyone is living in a house-style dwelling and we're nowhere close to capacity. The complaints for childcare are coming in because apparently Al Jerraeau and Al Green are playing non-stop and we have a ton of babies now. Just need to figure out how to make a kindergarten because the option is not available but the listing is there.

Does this mean all squares need to be scavenged on the center tile first? Not sure what 'neighborhood' means in this context.

its probably referencing a trigger that hasnt been added ... in the tutorial mode you get barns after finding a chicken coop

Okay, I really need to know what is up with Kindergarten now. I'm losing 3% morale each day for 'unsatisfied demand' or whatever, but I can't make the building because I need to 'scavenge the neighborhood' first....whatever that means.

yeah it seems the kindergarten still bugged out, i get the max -20% morale down eventhough i create one with 20-30 staff on it. hindering the whole morale bonus

Why even add Kindergarden..........add daycare.......and make it a thing that just happens after you reach a certain population. NOTHING worse than being controilled by the game tellong you how to play it when it should be a play your own strategy kind of game.

Had the same issue and submitted a report. Curious enough the issue seemed to have resolved itself when I tore down 2/3 of my kindergartens, leaving me with one that us currently handling 0/51 of my 28 children. Nevertheless, the morale debuff is gone.

Scavenge your neighborhood. At some point of time you'll either get the unlock or the prompt that your community has the unresolved family care issue, THEN the unlock. At any rate it's finally working for me. I'm thinking it's because I'm on a new map. Seems fairly balanced. (eg Three teachers can handle 55 student plans)

Im in a game I created bevor the update. I have scavenged the whole Map. My people are now very unhappy that they don’t have a Kindergarden. However I can’t unlock it since the entire Map is already scavenged. What do I do. I don’t want to loose this Gane

unfortunately its not uncommon in EA games for older saves to become useless

for kindergarden it seems like you can't avoid starting a fresh map
