Equip squads with cans

I´m supposed to exchange some cans for a squad that´s been held hostage. But for the love of god, i cant figgure out how to equip the unit witch cans! drag n drop doesnt seem to work. I know how to put the firarms away, so that they are without guns...Any suggestions?

You have to pick squad, then select the "two arrows" icon and pick a building. the squad will go to that building, and you can drag/drop item into their inventory.

Two squads with pistols can kill the raiders, and take their lovely automatic rifles. I always betray them for that reason. I haven't actually tried giving them what they want, but would be willing to bet they betray me.

Or, just a thought, equip another squad with guns and not waste the food 😂
