The Military Major Storyline

So far i've gone down both roads, road 1 is where i played nice with him, because if it 'is' true that he and his group are the 'last remaining government organization' in our neck of the woods, regardless if we're in US/UK/Brazil etc, then he had 'some' legitimacy to request our assistance, but also because i didn't want him to roll over me cause he got mad, but he was also rude about asking for our 'help' and then saying we're in 'no position' to negotiate

anyway, i helped him, gave him his food/ammo w.e, and eventually he responded to my questions about what he and his group were doing, but it was obvious he was up to no good, as far as dealing with raiders/infected, okay but so have i why do i need him if he's not going to help me in my area when i need it?

i didn't progress any further down that line, but in my new playthrough where i 'save my hometown' and try to reclaim a landmark that i live nearby, i told the military bully to 'fk off' and well, what happened happened, he didn't like me not playing ball, and opened fire. His tank rolled around and i lured it and the truck nearby my houses/towers/gates where i had fields of fire to pummel them from all sides. Eventually i killed the truck and its 4 soldiers with Assault Rifles, and then the tank took a LONG time to take down, earning me the achievement for defeating the military.

After a long time, many many days, i forget, but about 2 winters maybe 3 passed before i heard from El-Major again, and he curses me for not falling in line and doing as i'm told, i told him 'fk you again', and eventually he tells his men to 'wipe me out', but i've yet to see his forces again. even after maybe another year passing

is there something i'm not seeing or not doing? or are his vehicles in the raea and they just aren't rolling toward me and i need to find them again, also is there anything on the 'helping him' route that i didn't see?

Pretty sure the second message from him was supposed to occur right after you start shooting at him (as it always does for me) and not after you already won. Once you beat him, that is the end of it (at least for now).

As for helping him, if you do complete that path, you gain the ability to radio him for backup. I never used that ability, but apparently it just calls the APC and truck into your base as neutrals and they just stay there, shooting any hostile that shows up.
