No Responses To Invites

I have invited atleast 20 times and I have gotten no responses, even when they are spaced out. I have the no story mode mode on so I was thinking it might be a bug, or am I just really unlucky?

I've been playing with several different maps all over the US and some places. It appears that in more dense and urban real world areas I get more responses. More infected as well though.

I've come to realise that every time you make a radio call invite, a group of something spawn on the map. Sometimes it will be raiders but most of the time it will be a neutral group that you have to either drive to or wait until they stumble on you or your buildings to ask them to join your group.

Now it is entirely possible that they get intercepted by zombies or raiders along the way...

In the pre metal tower fix build they would respond to my message and ask to do one of the two options you mentioned, I don't get that anymore.

hmmm i stopped giving invites and still get randoms joining every 3-4 days, which is enough. are u producing excess food or have excess room?

i got it reverse,they coming without invite,but when i try invite they wont come

Those groups still have to cross the whole map from the border edge to your base. If there is a huge swarm of zombies in between or many raiders intercepting them, then it will look like they won't show up. If you police the whole area down (like you likely do in the late game) and the whole area is safe then you'll get every group spawning in, even those you have not specifically called in.

Have you tried planting flowers? Donuts and coffee?
