Lack of woods and too many bricks
There simply not enough wood in the game, and deconstructing buildings gives too many bricks. I have over 8k bricks with only 200+ woods in my latest game, struggling to find more to sustain the cooking, struggling to find space to store the bricks so that I could deconstruct more buildings to make woods. LOL

i'd like a brick pile u draw like the collection area that u just dump them on the floor then would have to move them back to storage if u need them .

Or since my Edinburgh game glitched once and added more buildings in the castle the option to rebuild old world buildings based on the ground footprint they all have even the ones that don't load in the start of the game like alota castles i've tried would be nice and brick heavy

also edinburgh had a ton of wood before the update just in trees around the castle
Yeah if they could keep the brick piles and instead of so many building bricks from deconstruction, up the amount of wood and metal that would be awesome.

They actually did decrease the bricks in that last patch by quite a bit it seems. Previously after you finished deconstructing a building, it left a bunch of brick piles that your workers could collect witch the collect command. Now though, it does not seem to do that anymore. The piles are gone after deconstruction meaning half the brick supply has been removed.

I think this is probably how it was supposed to be normally as why do they collect bricks when deconstructing, but then still have them all left over after as well?

To be fair, in most modern cities you're going to find a whole lot more brick and whole lot less wood. It's why cities are probably the worst place to try to outlast a zombie outbreak since you are completely reliant on scavenging and that only lasts just so long, not to mention the whole "more zombies, and even worse, more survivors" problem. However, I agree that forcing us to use wood to make most items in game means wood needs to be plentiful since this is a game and they are supposed to be fun, not frustrating.

You could see in the storyline there is a conversation mentioning solar panel, i guess we will have electricity later on. The only thing demanding woods is just cooking in late game, I guess Devs may put electricity or oil as energy source in the future. But it would be better if they could give us an option to dump unwanted stuffs in the warehouse.

I think one key component that makes there be too little wood is also that wood is a ressource ingame that is intermediary. It gets used in the production of other things, so there is a steady consumption of wood over time.

You need wood to prepare rations, other stuffs are optional in late game, but you need food, so it's constantly being consumed, and lots more with a larger population

Honestly I would like the option to use bricks en lieu of wood in certain building adaptations that make them better or slightly stronger and save wood at the same time.

Definitely we need - and I'am also sure we will have other kind of power sources but according to the intro since we come to the surface "...after a long time" there could be more vegetation and trees!

- should generate more trees to playing location
(However there are fully grown tree lines in my neighborhood there are no generated trees in game. Not even one piece!)
- way more trees in park areas
- get more wood from cutting
- reduce and/or rethink the wood prerequisites

...and the possibilty:

- to partially salvage a building for a targeted resource type
- to trash resource
- to leave and stock the dismantled resource at the site

Im getting enough to build my own pyramid!!!

We should be able use bricks more, what about be able to reinforce all buildings with bricks? Using large amounts of brick and raw metal to increase their strength, not that i need it, too many towers that it wont matter, but hey in case they brake through itll be harder for them.

Also Reinforced walls should need a lot more bricks to build

Same problem, 15k bricks, and dont know how to get rid of them.
Had to expand my base just to adapt more warehouses. to fill them with bricks :D

Also, about the cooking, i get why there is no electricity mechanic in the game yet, cos it is totally new resource, that will change the current game.

But what i dont get, why can we drive cars, but cant manage to get hands on generators, and cook with oil. i mean. they lived underground, must have had generators.

TBH, i think the amount of wood on the map is more than enough if there isn't a constant consumption of wood as fuel. And it really needs a method to deal with the bricks problem, maybe there will be ways to use brick in the future as the game develop.
