How do you deliver the ransom to raiders?
Hi, I got the "ransom for the squad" objective and accepted their offer, now I have to deliver 4 crates of canned food via an unarmed squad.
How do I deliver this? I figured out how to unarm them (drag the guns from the squad to the warehouse) but how do I re-arm them afterwards? and how do I pick up the food?
I've tried drag-and-dropping the food and weapons from the warehouse to the squad but it doesn't seem to work.

Also, is accepting the offer the best way to solve this objective? On my first try I refused, but then they attacked and killed most of my people so I had to start over. Any tips on solving this objective?

+lol OK thank you all for the comments 🤣🤣 maybe I didn't know what I was doing on my first game bc I had 4 squads and they were all killed by the raiders when I tried to fight them. That was why I tried to give in this time! (I thought they were unbeatable or sth but apparently not lol)
I am now on my second game (set to Easy now🤣) and stronger than my first try so I'll try attacking again. Thanks!

If you want to deliver food, there's an exchange button on the squad UI that lets you interact with a warehouse or HQ - You can drag stuff out of it to put into inventory. If its a weapon, you can drag it onto the existing weapon to replace it, which is how you'd rearm the squads.

So you should be able to load up food into the squads, and bring it with you. Can't say I tried, because I did what everyone else is saying and accepted the ransom terms, and then showed up with two squads packing pistols, and my assault squad with rifles. Fight didn't last long.

Get a few squads in to a nearby building then Ctrl+Click to select all of them and send them in to the yellow ! icon where the raiders are to kill the raiders.

You deliver it via bullets. <3

Gather a couple of the other squads right outside (do NOT order them in yet) and once they are all in place, send them in together.

Raider will whine, you tell them to let your guys go, and a shootout happens.

If you have 3-4 armed squads, you should not have losses at all.
dont wanna ruin your solve suprice ;D anyways normaly its enough to send 2 teams with pistols in :lunar2019piginablanket:

i send troops to kill raiders. 2-3 squads with pistols or rifles are enough.
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Kill them. Kill them all!

Honestly the raider in that event is such an idiot.

I almost started laughing when he asked me to send more food and another unarmed squad. That was literally the stupidest thing he could do.

Did he really think for a second the next squad going in wasnt going to be armed to the teeth??

Realistically, in prisoner exchanges, you give them what they want when they actually deliver what you want. If they couldn't trust you to keep your end of the bargain the first time, why would they trust you the second time?

Just send an armed squad, demand the hostages are released first, then call their bluff and let him countdown from three. Everyone lives and you get a major morale boost

Fun fact:
this event happened to over 200 000 people so far.
90% brought weapons.
only 4% brought resources and decided to trade
only 3% found an alternate solution
83% chose violence.

10% came with no weapons, out of which 1% came with no weapons again :D

I guess it is the law of the wasteland :D

Wait, there's more outcomes than 'kill them' and 'do as they say'?

Tbf if this was realistic, they would have had our squad at gunpoint and the moment they saw another coming in armed, they would have warned them that if they enter, they kill the hostages, rather than let us set up the fight properly.

lol, i guess i'm the 4%. I went armed, but talked them down and gave them the 4 cans they wanted. 4 cans was just too pathetic to kill them over

If i am remembering correctly, there is a followup event to save them or leave them to die when they call for help b/c of a zombie seige on their house. Unfortunately i already searched that house so it broke

I had that event too, so its doesnt seem reliant on the outcome of the prev encounter. I killed the raiders, and decided to help them when they asked nicely, and let them join.

I am a nice person, just dont act like a bully. <3
