Book of Laws
*Edit: The Road Map for this game already states there'll be a Law System.

This is merely just me spouting my ideas into the void and nothing more. After playing the game "Frostpunk" I really enjoyed "Book of Laws" mechanic in the game where you could pass laws and other morally "questionable" decisions to shape how you govern your new society at the end of the world, such as enacting "child labor" due to low man power or "extreme medical practice" to help those who are horrifically injured such as forcing amputations.

It's kinda dark stuff, but when the world has ended like in Frostpunk and in Infection Free Zone some times drastic measures are to be taken in order to survive. Like for example in Frostpunk when the work shift ends and everyone goes to bed you can enact laws to extend work periods or even enforce a 24 hour work shift at the cost of discontent or worst, workplace accidents that result in deaths, with the trade off of getting more resources.

I feel like Infection Free Zone would benefit from a system like this, not only to hammer in how tough rebuilding a society after collapse is, but also adding replay value. Have it so that players who make decisions can maybe only choose between one or three routes. Choosing one law blocks off the other two, etc.

It would also benefit players who want to RP more and craft their society in a specific fashion. Such as turning your IFZ into a dictatorship like the Governor in the Walking Dead, or perhaps you'd try to restore Democracy to the world etc. I think something similar to the Book of Laws would really help in making the game feel more alive.

Just an interesting thought I had when playing the game.

No, don't bring this crap into this great game. That book of laws thing is why I only have 34 minutes of play time in Frostpunk.

To me this isn’t the type of game requiring a system like that but it would be cool if you could choose to have certain things in game im sure your wish will be granted somehow when modding comes

Well I just read the road map and this looks to be something they already have planned, lol I should've read it first before posting this.

Frostpunk two isn't out and the Devs road map already states they'll be adding a law system. May not be exactly like Frostpunk but I still look forward to it.

I will start a book-burning campaign to burn all the law books.
