how do you replace a squad member
I cant seem to figure out what to do, I click on the + sign on the empty character slot and nothing happens

Yeah. Need to free up a worker to be able to add them to a squad.

How do you remove one from the squad, they're in the HQ and there's some free workers.
I got 2 wounded and want to replaced them.

I've tried to "disband and make new" but since one of the squad members is "experienced" he always gets put in the new squad, but he's one of the wounded.

I would 'split' the group. put the wounded in their own squad, stash them in the medic tent. Then replenish the Good HP squad with more members.
