Map size is tiny. Project Zomboid is hand designed not generated and is at least 10x bigger
Why not load at least the same size grids in 8 squares around the starter square? So at least we can explore a decent amount.

Your selling point is "play in your own town" but you only actually offer a tiny cutout of the town - killing any immersion given by that aspect almost instantly. Nobody wants to be so restricted.

The game is in the early alpha phase, is still being developed and bugs are being fixed. We will also have to wait for more extensive and refined maps.
Compare how long Project Zomboid has been in development and how long IFZ has been in development, apart from the fact that these are completely different games.

To sum up, everything takes time. PZ is stuck in the early access phase precisely because work on it is very time-consuming.

The real joke is that it allows you to zoom out and see all this other area/map around you, but for an inexplicable reason, it just doesn't let you access it. I don't care if it has a loadin screen between square grids, but the current size is actually tiny now that I've applied it to my home town and realised most of it is cut off or roads just end inexplicably in areas, killing immersion. Come on devs.

very alpha stage right now, the game can't even cope with 200+ pops for now and saves are broken, give them some time and when top bugs are repaired, i'm sure they will get a hand on map expanding

not every game has to be project zomboid. I dont rememebr in PZ being able to wall off entire sections ofthe map to build large compounds. zombie games CAN offer differennt experiences without being bad. Also pZ has been in development for over 10 years, so its more fleshed out, i cant rememebr what it was liek at the start, but nothing like it is today.
