great starting locations?

Love the game so far, but a lot of locations I want to try have too few buildings, too few specialized buildings, or other issues. Please post your suggestions

I wish i could go for the Tower of London but unfortunately where the should be a bridge there are buildings across the waterway :(, and alot of castles are non existend i would like to go to Mont Saint Michel too but its too far out in the ocean in this game where it should be close to the coast :( alot of military stations dont even have the fencing or walls :(

Someone recommended “Springfield, Illinois USA” and it was a good place to start, you should check it out
There are many shopping buildings but not too dense

the area where the river forks resulting in 3 sides being river with the north being open, only problem is of course wood and since it isn't the united states weapons, but you only have to garrison the north and then have the two small bridges on the south east guarded

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. OP locations are interesting, but I'm more looking for well-balanced maps.

Found another place after my last game borked by a bad save load (buildings that I had torn down respawned)
its also in Japan, Long and Lat are on the bottom left of the squad card and the building I choose gives a commanding view and firing range, and atm it seems that you can expect the hostile ai to try to avoid the water areas. Sadly Wood will still be a problem (atm) due to not really having a good way to produce it except tearing down buildings and the few trees to the south

also to the south there a like 4 car signed buildings and 2 groceries, with another one within the same block as the HQ I selected

But how to do yuo takeover the complete building?

When I start I only get a small portion of it and the zombies attack from a different angle and destroy the building....

Yah too bad :( realised it later too, but tbh ive looked around alot and i find Amsterdam and ALL the surroundings great places to start :D

ladies and dudes, at the alpha stage you are aware that water/river/sea doesn't stop zombies from crossing them :D did find very good spot around new york but gaved up on that when massive horde crossed the rivers, so i moved my base into High building density area in middle of New York, lots of cover by buildings, lots of all kind of shops AND lots of buildings for materials and somewhat reasonable areas for farming too, exploded the game when i reached over 1000 population.... was fun and worth it :D ques il try this next in my hometown Turku Finland

You can check "The perfect start" where i talk about Citadelles with walls like Lille, Doullens, Briancon or Cittadella ;)

I live in Colorado Springs, and we have an army base, an airforce base, and the Cheyenne Mountain bunker, with plenty of suburbs and the zoo and the Garden of the gods. Plenty of cool places down here!
