I'd recommend that buildings get deconstructed into being resource piles, and allowing players to then select a pile to be hauled back to a warehouse.
That would remove clutter as well as help players manage the time spent hauling certain things.
Also the ability to move construction resources out of a warehouse and into a designated pile as well.
Just construction materials, as anything else realistically should have to stay in storage to avoid spoiling/damage.
Other items should be allowed to be destroyed if the need ever arises due to a player over collecting guns or whatever else.
i do however think they should be a bit fast walking, maybe 10 to 15% faster for colonists not the squads.
if u abandon a building u were using it has everything in it and salvageable move to the closest warehouse. so i built a random warehouse to farm resources then deconstruct it when u are done with demolish in the area.
