Long game play issues
Hello i have played several maps where i am at day 40+ with up to 200 people and the game sort of becomes unsustainable due to wood. at first you send them out to chop down the trees, then due to how fast the days go and how slow they walk and work. that becomes unrealistic, so you have to start to deconstruct buildings. Then the hard part start as they get wood metal and bricks there is no way to select what to salvage, so in the end your ware house fill up with bricks and metal which unless your building or repairing you don't need. and you get in a catch 22 because you cant get another warehouse build as your other ones are full then items are just dumped on the ground like food etc and you end up in a death spiral loop. Why is it only wood to build warehouse's or shelters? I have to have the workers build random walls just to get rid of the metal bricks

I guess the solution/s could be.

1. ability to right click delete items in warehouse.
2. ability to assign what resource to deconstruct from buildings.
3. have Forrest regrowth.
4. building options to use metal and brick for warehouses and shelters.
5. remove the wood requirement or change it production chains.

unless i am totally playing the game wrong lol.

For me, it's a pain, but a workable solution is to have them build brick and metal walls everywhere.

the resources chain its broken, but i assume that the devs had his hand on it

I recommend that for now you use cheat engine to locate the resource id and change it, it searches in float

Still having this game problem now my storage is filled up every time I build a new warehouse and there’s no way for me to delete resources

They could also introduce alternate fuel sources for cookhouse, such as coal, and add fortification upgrades to adapted buildings that cost brick and/or metal. The more ways there are to solve an issue, the better.

I'd recommend that buildings get deconstructed into being resource piles, and allowing players to then select a pile to be hauled back to a warehouse.

That would remove clutter as well as help players manage the time spent hauling certain things.


Also the ability to move construction resources out of a warehouse and into a designated pile as well.

Just construction materials, as anything else realistically should have to stay in storage to avoid spoiling/damage.

Other items should be allowed to be destroyed if the need ever arises due to a player over collecting guns or whatever else.

so thinks i have noticed relating is that u need to build a warehouse next to structures u r going to demolish. the bigger building being demolished the better. colonist walk from the closest home/shelter to their work place. so if demolish they walk from there to warehouse to store then back to demolish. You have to cut the travel time to be the most efficient.

i do however think they should be a bit fast walking, maybe 10 to 15% faster for colonists not the squads.

if u abandon a building u were using it has everything in it and salvageable move to the closest warehouse. so i built a random warehouse to farm resources then deconstruct it when u are done with demolish in the area.
