Some Tips for new Players?

So, is there any place i can find some tips for beginners? I really enjoy the game so far, but i usually get swamped by infected in night 4, 5 or 6 - I'm reasonably sure I'm doing something wrong, but i don't know the "right" way to play so far.

I backed the game on backerkit before the run closed on the 8th of january. Got the key via email around the end of january. No idea if there are any crowdfunding runs going on anywhere right now.

the game shall not be that hard.
Finish the first several mission to get 5 extra man asap.
create 5 squads in the first day to scav, let squad 1-2 search for food and squad 3-5 search for weapon (check the squad to make sure no squad without weapon find ammo , that bug will stop the squad to continue scav and i'm not sure if that bug has been fixed, get that squad back to HQ and get another squad search to decrease time waste) , after the first night dismiss 2 or 3 squads for building watch tower and gather woods.
no need to build walls when the tips come. It's a kind of waste of woods. Just build walls before you build farmlands.
Don't leave your squads on ground in night , get them into a building . Go scav in daytime and get your squads back before night come to defend the zone.
Choose a squad get into and outside of a building that had been scaved and near your watchtower(don't too close , make sure the squad get into building before infected reach them) constantly to attract the infected and you will see infected run between your watchtower and that squad.
Place the farmlands inside the defense circle so they won't be destroyed first.

You can give your squad an order to search multiple buildings by holding shift and right clicking each building. The squad will automatically return to HQ when full and then return to complete the route. Very handy for the first day using 4-5 squads to search the immediate area.

Rotate the camera with Q/E.

Still trying to figure out how to add guns to watch towers. Does anyone know how?

You just need to have the guns in your HQ or warehouse and people assigned to the watchtower and they will automatically go and get them.

What about assigning weapons to your squads as I have two rifles in my warehouse but having trouble equipping the rifles to my squad members.

You can disassemble a squad and recreate it, it select the best weapons automaticly.

If you find the AK on scav, you can equip it as well by drag and drop in the concerned squad menu, and refill ammo the same way if you carry some, but i don't find yet how to make your squad grab something from HQ/warehouse

just press the button to exchange than click the warehouse/HQ and than drag and drop over ur current guns u can exchange with squads too

i never dismissed a squad do they loose their ranks by doing that ? cause since they dont grab ammo automaticly i always go out and in ^^, plus if u do that and u have more ppl u might need to assemble more squads until ur old squad pops up what makes that unreliable ^^

If some of your squad get stuck (i gave multiple order to scav, and when i check it back the dudes where stuck in a backyard, can only enter in one of the surrounding building and exit at same point), you can send ppl to disassemble one building, the most little one, and you don't need to wait the finish, squad can walk on it
