As soon as I saw the trailer, it struck me as a live-action spiritual successor to the Rebuild series. (You can play R1 & 2 using Flashpoint (https://youtu.be/yyw5qT3XbhM)--as they are both Flash games, and Rebuild 3 here on Steam or Mac/Linux/mobile. They should all be right up your alley.
