Is rebirth better than remake intergrade?
I was very disappointed playing remake on PS. Just wondering if it will get better or if I should stick with the original if I want a bit FF7 again.

Depends on who you ask. The general consensus seems to be that Rebirth is better than Remake. Personally, I liked Remake better on how it focused on a tighter plot and more grounded combat.

Rebirth is much more open, with a lot more to do, with more options in combat. It had some neat vignettes and several things I enjoyed with the story, and the music was very good.

Be aware, with Rebirth, there is a lot of game there. This is a big one. Especially if you choose to do everything.

Of the top of my head only think that I can think of was the control method for lock-on target switching is better. Switch target is no longer linked with the cameras auto follow. If you switch to D-Pad instead of the using the default thumbstick the camera will still auto follow target unless you manually change camera settings. This was my biggest annoyance and only thing that would hold me back from buying Rebirth.

If you switch method from Thumbstick to D-pad the camera would no longer follow locked on target in the Rebirth Demo. If it was the same I wouldn't buy Rebirth. Once I beat Remake on PC, including Yuffie portion, I'll grab Rebirth on PS5.

EDIT: Oh and Rebirth has lots and lots and lots of mini-games. Apparently you need to perfect every mini game for the Plat/100%

Rebirth is way better but theres somethings that Remake does better like the graphics are a little cleaner due to being on a smaller scale. But overall Rebirth was a very good game that can easily last 100+ hours I'm tempted to rent a Ps5 again just to play it again.

Definitely better, but too vague a question to really answer. I think remake/rebirth surpasses the original in every way, and it's been my fav game since it released in 97.

if you have issues with it not being turn based you have the classic combat system.

if you have issues with it not being more than just midgar well you now have a whole world to roam and it is indeed seamless from one end of the world map to the other.

If you have issues with the last 5% of the game being different than the original in story, they do that to give you something to chew on and wonder about while waiting for the games, to add new mystery to the series, and to add an epic endgame portion to each game.. that is again present in rebirth and it serves its purpose well.

if all you want is a game from 27 years ago with updated graphics and otherwise no changes, then it's time for you to accept your fate

It depends on what it was you didn't like about Remake, but Rebirth is better in just about every way.
