FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE

FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE

View Stats:
the game is making my PC shut down
which is crazy cause I played the main game in a waaay weaker PC, I5 9th generation 8gb ram and GTX 1050 3gb

now im playing intermission to warm up for rebirth on a Ryzen 5 5600, 32gb ram, RX 7600 8gb and my PC randomly shuts down while playing it.

Ive played many other games on this PC without ever having this issue like RE 4 Remake, Elden Ring, Dishonored 2, Deus EX Mankind Divided etc

what is happening

I tried uploading to windows 11, tried to verify game archives, and also tried to lock on lower fps (tried 120, 90 and 60 and all of those crashes, I refuse to play at 30)

what is going oooon someone help me

PC shutting off without any sort of error screen can only really be 1 of 2 reasons.

1) overheating.

2) insufficient power.
Sounds like the poor machine needs some TLC at least. Blow out the dust, check that all the fans are working and change the thermal paste on the CPU. Also, you are way below the minimum specs of this game.
50ºc while playing the game, the problem is not overheat/lack of cleaning

how exactly can I know for sure if the problem is in the PSU, and why only in this game, while many other more demanding games work just fine? (played Elden Ring for 12h straight one day and this never happened for instance)

Look at the logs, see what they say, there's a ton of reasons for this. Is your PC shutting down or restarting?
Shutting down.
Where can I see these logs?

Event Viewer on Windows, you can check system logs there.

What is 50c? is does sound like an overheating issue, you checked both cpu and gpu temps?

Intergrade does seem to run with slightly higher hardware usage than remake.

50 degrees celsius is nowhere near overheating lmao

Or corrupted software or driver packages/the game itself I had this issue once and had to do a Chkdsk scan.

all commands for Admin Terminal/Powershell/Command Prompt
`dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth`
`sfc /scannow`

If Hard Drive installed (not ssd) as C:
`chkdsk /r /f /x` should say someting about next reboot -> reboot with `shutdown /r /t 0` and wait for it to finish.
or if other letter
`chkdsk D:`

And if that didn't find anything scan with Driver Verifier. Find out which driver is corrupted uninstall it and replace it with a clean version of the driver.

+1 PSU...had a similar issue. only one game crashed my pc. A new psu fixed that
yeaa, I just tested turning on hypr-rx Eco mode on adrenaline, and been playing the game for 1:30 without crashes. I assume the problem was indeed regarding the psu and energy consumption from the game.

i wont be buying a new one only for this game tho. Here's hoping I dont have that issue with Rebirth lmao

Is your PC directly plugged into the power outlet on your wall or into a Back Up UPS device? Those can bottleneck how much voltage your PC gets if they are older and don't output enough power.
