Is the DLC worth re-buying this?
I'm sorry if this question has been dragged through the discussions a ton. I have it on PS4. Absolutely love the game. But I don't have a PS5 and wonder if the DLC is good/fun enough for me to buy this. I'm also not too familiar with SE sales so will there be a better sale later on or is this essentially the best deal I'll get for FF VII R on PC?

There will probably be a better deal/price drop at some point. The DLC is a lot of fun but its like 5 hours long, maybe not worth buying JUST for that.
If you want to replay FF7R again anyway, maybe. But you may as well wait until a month before part 2 comes out and play it then

Yeah, you’re not missing enough to justify the cash investment. All you need to know—not really a spoiler—Yuffie came to Midgar during the events of the main game.
You can assume correctly that a certain plot device doesn’t allow Yuffie to come in contact with Cloud & Co. in Midgar.

Her fighting style is interesting (in a good way) but we should get to see more of that in Rebirth.

5 hours is a lot better than I expected honestly. I was thinking it'd only be 1-2 hours. Too bad Rebirth isn't coming to PC on launch. Debating on saving for a PS5 since that and the new Spider-Man are on my radar

WOW. SUCH SPOILER. NOW I'M BIG MAD. Yeah I didn't think it was anything critical to know. But it's more content so I wanted to see if it was a lazy cash grab or worth getting at all.

Been keeping this on my radar as well. Same situation. Finished the game on the PS4, and not getting a PS5 anytime soon.

I have been keeping track of Square Enix steam sales for the past few years and the most they will come out for their "hot/recent titles" is 50%. I have played FF15 on PS4 as well, but planning to get the DLCs to replay them again. FF15 never have a discount more than 50% and the base price has maintained ever since the Steam launch. This is a 6 year old game (console launch) and is quite absurd for them to still be charging such a high base price still.

Following the pattern, the best discount to get FF7 remake on PC would be at 50% which is most likely next year (summer?). I feel is unlikely it will be at 50% discount anytime soon.

I would definitely not recommend buying this for just the DLC. The DLC is worth about $15-20. It's good, but it's only about 4-5 hours long, and that's including the Fort Condor minigames. Once you clear the first chapter, the rest really flies by.
