How skilled are you on Linux?
A few things you can do to improve the games:
- Change the UMA Frame Buffer (via bios) to 4GB.
- Increase the Swap size to at least 8GB.
- Change the Kernel swappiness to 0 or 1.
This should provide some improvement and you can always revert the changes.
However it will not fix completely, since the game itself has optimisation problems.
I did those manually, but if you want an easy way use CryoUtilities[github.com]
