only difference being you can use your monitors native resolution and refreshrate if your hardware can keep up.
PS5 has dynamic res up to 4k and 60fps.
If they just moved it over to Steam without patching than that hasn't changed.
I would stick with PS5.
Unless of course you can fix all of these issues by using user created mods. If only a place existed where you could do this easily . . . oh wait . .
It's part of the reason Skyrim , Fallout and many other bad vanilla PC versions end up being far better than their console siblings.
The ability to mod a game is one of the very best reasons to go with a PC release (also now with Steam deck, you have a very portable version of you PC favorites, without having to resort to streaming and the cloud.)
If nude Tifa is your thing, mods have you covered and I suppose, her uncovered. PC Exclusive feature ~ Never underestimate the power of nudity and teenage boys (or anyone of any age for that matter, equality FTW, nude Cloud also available)
I know it's been a while since you typed this, but it runs without a hitch on my system with 4k texture mods and heavily modified .ini settingsg; 4k 120 fps 7700k, 2080 Ti 32gb 3600 mHz memorthe
PC version is far superior now. It has more contrast and is more vibrant. PS5 in washed out and dull in comparison. Also, PC has higher quality volumetric lighting (lighting in general), better shadows, reflections, and more fog and is just much more atmospheric overall. PC is clearly superior on all fronts. Such a gorgeous game even now.
Some stutters in NPC dense areas, which doesn't affect combat, at least from my experience.
This is usually a user error, each computer reacts differently, this is not a FF7R isolated issue, the game run butter smooth on my setup, but you have a different setup than myself, so I'm not sure what's clogging your computer. I guess this answers OP question too, PS5 is more stable because it's optimized for 1 device fits all. But for PC, if the user is able optimize the game perfectly for their setup, it's by far the superior version.
