Kazushige Nojima. He wrote the original game's scenario. He also re-wrote Remake project's scenario. :)

Personally I think they should not have her simp over Cloud. It shows our current generation that any girl can fall for a good-looking twink.

umm no, was nice only on Main Story, due to Jessy was almost a character on FF7. And 2, on optional talks between missions and the train, she is very flirty.... but not at the levels of the Remake. At least on English translation. I played the original version on Spanish.... but really you cant understand anything in that translation, even if you are iberic.

Jessie was barely in the original... but her simping for Cloud is pretty much the only one of three character traits I remember.

Purely because of how short and under-developed midgard is?

I played up until after The Reunion, so I feel like I have more than enough to comment on it, but yeah, she *does* flirt with Cloud in the awkward PS1-era style of dialogue, and a lot of Midgard is minuscule to the rest of the game, so a lot of whatever gets developed in Midgard is like, 1 or 2 throwaway lines. I think in the original it's more that she idolises Cloud as being part of Soldier, and it can be interpreted as her having a crush on him.

She does go way too hard in the remake though, they better think of some way to capitalise on it lmao

Is it really, or is it wishful thinking by Biggs and Wedge? There is now this new Merc in town, hot and capable... Though sometimes she does lay it on thick, I think this is the times where she is all nervous.
