I expected the same thing but found the following:
1. The console mod doesn't work, so I can't have the engine.txt to work
2. I wanted to try using my saves from EGS to Steam but can't seem to find the directory
Hope someone can shed light on this...
Edit:Ya sorry i realise we aren't really helping with your question...
(you will prob just have to wait and see.. prob won't get news anytime soon)
Once again, not what I'm asking. I'm asking if there is any official source (Steam, Square, etc) that has released a statement about how modding will work for this title on Steam specifically. If there will be support for it on workshop, etc.
So far the best I've got is "Stuff that people made for the Epic release will probably work", which is far from anything official
All they did was drop a model replacer and scrapped the rest when people stopped buying ripped out DLC to be sold later #4+ in droves....
Long story short:
Don't Believe Squenix Lies!
Sounds about right. But I still want to see what has been stated about THIS title from an official source
You may want to check your AppData-directories. It's a hidden folder/directory, but you can either manually go there in explorer, or simply go to your settings and allow to show hidden folders .
EOS folder has your EOS save and steam will be your steam saves you can just move your EOS saves to Steam
I am confused with your instruction on the steam saves... where is it exactly?
