Dragon Quest games do well and the latest entry seems to be selling well. Although FXIV is on the downturn, it still seems to be bringing in a sizable amount of income to the company.

Just because FFXVI and Rebirth are under performing, I don't think Square is going anywhere .

For reference, the stock recovered in days and are trading within 2% of what they were just beforehand, which was part of the upward trend from the summer.

XVI doesn't sound like the PC release has been performing well, but, no official numbers.

Maybe if they stopped pricing up everything with Moon-Money and got a reality check, they might actually sell some units.

This is said with FF7:Remake at £69.99 still.... years after release.

Eh, it gets heavily discounted every other month, usually to half-off, and even cheaper on one store in particular if you're a regular shopper there.

Literally every AAA game has this same price tag and trend. They don't decrease the price over time like games used to. They just go on bigger and bigger sales over time. I don't understand how this still needs to be pointed out to people.

"Stocks plummet after skyrocketing"

Yeah, that's how stocks work. They go up and down.

The game was on a 50% sale like a month ago and these people just come here to complain anyways and don't purchase the game.

50% off at that starting price is useless!!!

Find a AAA title that had it's retail price permanently drop in recent times. If you do, it is a rare occurrence.

They can just go out of business, if they aren't gonna release games on PC day one. Sick of their outdated release strategies.

AAA is dying anyway, better keep the memories of the good times they had once.
Ubisoft is the best example why AAA is near the end

You know as well as I do that's not what happens here and what you said was pure sophistry.
