The board was just fine, as was the game, for more than 4 years. Then they censored the game...
The "discourse" you mention is a consequence.
No censorship has ever been demonstrated. The trolls that came in the lead up to Rebirth/wake of the patch, pretty much killed the board's community.
While one side was providing facts leading to the censorship the other was only saying no and straw-manning the discussion.
Some can't even own their words.
Again, everything that happened on this board is the result of a censor patch released behind lies in the patch notes.

If you used some of the time that took you to write this comment to read and understand the thread you would notice that we are talking about the 'killing', as called by Weltall, of this board.
He qualifies this 'killing' by people being against censorship.
The thing about facts is that they don't change subjectively.

You still don't understand what my counterclaim was (we only have indeterminate rankings that are all over the place, though, usually it is doing well year to date), let alone my original, overarching argument ("Prove it. You keep claiming this, but never prove it. When will you actually prove it? Oh, gee, you never do, come back when you have actual numbers."), despite it being explained to you at least twice. Meanwhile, your links have Space Marine 2 (not even released yet) outselling Spiderman 2.

Unfortunately media and many other people on Twitter are trying to manipulate people into thinking that anybody speaking up against the censorship is simply a horn ball or gross or blowing something out of proportion. It's incredibly dishonest because someone had to have seen a bunch of polygons and then want to censor them. That's gross.

To sell on the middle east, they had to choose a different design for their dialogues, side missions and flags.

So, Space Marine 2 is like the 8th best selling PS5 game and Spiderman 2 isn't in the top 10, or even 20, with Elden Ring pulling up #23rd. And that is reflective of year to date/all time? Sure, sure.
Of course you'd whine about "pandering to 'diversity'," but, the fact of the matter is, Spiderman 2 is one of the top selling PS5 games to date, with over 11 million sold as of April.

Now, on your bit about the Spider Man 2 in the middle east, yeah, that's censorship that they adhered to for their laws there. Now, a couple of things on that; it is interesting that you criticize them for "pandering" by including "'diversity'" being all pissed off about their artistic choice, but going "A ha! You're hypocrites because you altered your art for theocratic laws I don't like!"... yet you're beating the drum that developers shouldn't be allowed to freely change their art when they themselves choose to do so.
And anyone can use any username as they please, you making fun of them just seems inconsiderate. Isn't that running counter to what Ethics Department stands for?
