half the game?
When I first got word of a FF7 remake, I had been super excited. I remember the original game was playstation exclusive. Then word got out on a remake, I assumed it was for playstation only with the past FF7 being playstation only. I ended up selling my box, all games, controllers, and switched to playstation just for the game. After the release, I enjoyed the game. HOWEVER!!! I was very, very, very disappointed that was was only HALF of the game. Instead of leaving Midgar and making it to Open World... the first half ended. So, the MOST IMPORTANT question I have:

Is this game the FULL game, or is it just the first half while in Midgar?

So it is just Midgar and not Open World? (I know Midgar was only like 1/4 of the ogff7. I still remember having to get up and change the discs to the next one.

Don't want to just be stuck in Midgar waiting for the next part to be released. I want to go get all them summons and materia. Ahh, setting up poles while in the mountains so you don't get lost in the blizzard.

it is a proper full game and plenty of play time you shouldn't be put off too much by how Midgar was in the first one. Rebirth doesn't cover the snowy regions afaik that will be the third installment. Rebirth covers until city of the ancients i believe.

Thanks a bunch! Do you think the entire game is going to get broke down into multiple games? before we just changed cd's... now.. dont want to really buy multiple pieces for one game.

It's already broken into multiple games and you will have to buy all pieces. This is 1/3. The 2nd part was just released.

SE has stated it will be in 3 parts but each version will still be a complete game. all 3 will cover the full FF7 remake story. i will add this isn't a 100% 1.1 story copy, it is the same but also not.

yeah, i knew as the release was coming that it wasn't going to be a direct 1:1 story copy. I also know the director didn't want to change any of the main story that all of us older players fell in love with.

Say I were to purchace the first 2 that have been released... does your stuff from the 1st game carry on to the 2nd game, or are we starting from scratch in the 2nd game?

My boy, how old are you? Or what world do you live?
Square told about the split game like 100000x before release it.
A lot of people complain about it before the release date.
And it´s not half. We are in 2024 and you still don´t know this game is just 33% of the game.

How could a game bring the data from other game? No, you start the next game with the status, weapons and itens that Square thinks you have to

Just a matter of the devs choosing to read the previous save. I mean the data is there and the previous game CLEARLY could read it, so....

those who remember playing Original Final 7 remembers it being three discs.

My thinking is this,

This game is disc one.
Rebirth disc 2
and the third one will be disc 3.

Wasnt disc 3 basically the last fight and an open map to go finish the side-stuff you didnt get to for whatever reason?

open map start at disc 2. Disc 3 is side quest last boss.

...so.... how can game 3 rely on disc 3 for it's content?

Don't compare the discs of the classic version on PS1. The splitting on discs on the classic version is not the same like they split the remake in 3 games. So I think there will be enough content for the third game.

Oh yes, I remember changing the discs. I had the ultimate gamer heart attack when had to change to disc 2 for a cut scene, and then disc 2 game. wasn't the 4th disc the soundtrack?

Google yourself what "trilogy" means.

By your own definition, Mass Effect 1 is not a full game.
