Metacritic is deleting Rebirth negative reviews
I found on the exacly time and recorded.

It's absurd. I know Square enix is paying all the media to give it good reviews. Even youtubers can´t make critics to it.

It's not a conspiracy, it's a legit question. I mean you could be right, or you could be wrong, I wouldn't know, because I don't know the legitimacy of the sources, so it's fair to be skeptic.
Rebirth is a good game, why would Square Enix delete bad reviews? There won't be a lot of bad reviews in the first place.
I think they're deleting all the empty polarized 1 and 5 star reviews to try to prevent review bombing. Objectively speaking FF7 Rebirth isn't a 1-star under even the most generous of interpretations. People are just mad and salty.

Fyi I stopped playing a few hours in. I hate the story, open world, and side quests. I'd still objectively give it 5 stars. It's quality cannot be denied.

How do you "know" this?

What's with many triple-A games getting lackluster reviews if publishers can simply pay their way to critical success?

Everything leaks these days, from government secrets to details of private lives. If publishers were actually paying media to give their games better reviews, it'd have caused an outrage a billion years ago.

I am not sure about direct payments, but publishers actually

- invite big journos to some exclusive events like driving a real tank or visiting real antinuclear vault, they pay for their stay, drinks and restaurants
- give gaming media ads
- pay gaming media for "indirect" ads. On big sites like IGN article like "10 things you should know about God of War", that comes out conveniently before God of War's release may or may not be a part of media-publisher ads agreement

So, there are many ways they can pay media, that's true. In some markets publishers force media to give their games good scores. You are right about leaks: such leaks do exist and people know about it.

On the other hand, I find Rebirth pretty competent game. I don't think media should be pushed to give it a good score.

So obvius. Mass Effect Androme was massacred for NPCs that looks better on Ps4 than Rebirth on PS5. No one say anything about it.

It´s so false everything. Looks to FloamStars from square. Worst numbers than Gollum. Floped more than it. And who say anything about it?

Rebirth never deserve even a 7/10. If Square is not doing this, why I didn´t found deleted reviews in other games?

Really? A game that looks more to a ps3 game than ps5? Look to Horizon Zero Dawn. Yes, the first. At PS4 pro it looks way better than Rebirth on Ps5. Both open world. (now be a open world is a justify for everything wrong, right?) But the problem is, every media reviewed the rebirth like "wow, the most beautiful game of all time. It´s the top of the industry can do".

Please. They say Square did the most neat game ever. Cloud not even get wet on water.
I don´t have problem with a character entering on water and exiting dry. I have a problem with companies saying this is unbelievable, the best and most advanced that has ever existed.

Doesn´t match.

I don't know man, I've never said it's some kind of graphical marvel (main characters look much better than Eloy though). I am saying it's a good game overall, I personally consider it much better game than HZD or it's sequel.

Rebirth is hot trash, even worse than this one, not even Tifa’s boobs could save it

Game has underperformed, selling worse than remake. FF16 massively underperformed too

Square are so out of touch it’s not even funny anymore. How long can they continue producing flops before the whole company crumbles

How are sales even an indicator of quality. Plenty of hidden gems failed to sell well. However, these numbers trying to prove Reborth undersold are what's trash. They don't take into account digital sales.

If Elden Ring is any indicator, most gamers don't give a damn about graphics as much as you do.
