Don't buy PS5 for Rebirth

Remember, we as customers hold more power than we realise. If you guys buy PS5 now to play Rebirth then it will give square enix more excuse in the future to release even more PS5 exclusives in return for Sony's money. FF16 only sold around 3 million copies and that is a very clear message that gamers around the world are fed up with this exclusivity ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. In this new era of next generation gaming, we must tear down the walls of exclusivity once and for all.

I bought Rebirth on PS5 and I'm glad i did. I'm having a blast exploring the world and watching the story unfold.

I don't care one bit about the console vs pc stuff. I just wish to know when rebirth will reach pc. Has that been announced?

Not Many PS5 Games Are Popular, There Are Some,
But Not Very Many Big Titles Selling...

This Hurts The PlayStation Plus Market, Too...

Older Games On PlayStation Plus Are Required
To Pay The Largest Ammount I Think For Plus,
& Not Everyone Is Invested In Paying For It At
All, Lone Enough The Most Expensive Package...

This Means Most People Are Single Player Gaming People
On PlayStation 5, & Majority Of Them Are Not Invested...

Final Fantasy XVI Isn't Exactly A Game I Give A Crap
About, But I've Played Some Of The Demo, & From
What I've Played??

I Would Rather Play The Demo Then The Final Fantasy VII ReMake,
Even Though, I'm Not A Fan Of The Actual Game, & It's Also Above
All, A Single Player Game, Too, & Does Have Nice Graphix, Too...


There Is A Reason People Still Own A PlayStation 3,
& Still Play Dozens Of Games, & Still Play Online Free
Without PlayStation Plus Required To Do So...

Majority Of Those Games Are Fantastic, Loved,
Some Even Look Just As Good As PS5 Games, If Not Better,
While Some Are Just Amazing Pieces Of Art...

Yeah I bought a PS5 for FF16. I regretted that.

Don't buy a PS5. It's not worth it especially if you have a pc. Square-Enix pc ports are terrible but Rebirth (and FF16 to a lesser extent) look awful on consoles.

It will eventually come to pc, unlike the zelda games series that were spread on consoles so you have to buy a variety to keep up, and the wii exclusive ones especiallly that the combat system was made for. nintendo wii lasted for but a moment, and now there is switch. Square they did pull that one though about having a ps5 instead of a 4, so i can imagine the outrage to buy some whole new console to follow a game series. New technology is nice, graphics etc, but that just means we got a much more wide variety to choose from

I bought a PlayStation 5 on release day. Have 24 1/2 hours on Rebirth so far, and the game is amazing, and one of my top 3 favorite games of 2024 so far.

Well...I got a Playstation for Squaresoft games, specifically we bought it because of a Final Fantasy 7 demo that I played and liked. Then, I got a Playstation 2 because of Final Fantasy X. When Crisis Core came out, I got a PSP bundle so I could play it. When Final Fantasy 7 Remake came out exclusive to PS4 initially, I bought one for that game and then sold it since I was already a PC gamer.

Are you seeing a trend? People like what they like and buy what they buy, and they don't care if you've come up with some insane reverse moral psychology reason to justify being against Square over an update you didn't like the details of.

I don't really feel like waiting for Rebirth to come to Steam, so I'll probably grab a PS5 this month so I can play Rebirth. It wouldn't be the first time their brand sold consoles to me, their brand is the only reason I've ever owned any consoles after all. Idk why you all think you can push your views onto other peoples wallets, but frankly the fact that societies worst kinds of creeps are now against Square makes me support them even more.

And when it comes out on PC I'll buy it again. Why? I support their endeavor, and have been a life long fan of the series.

Consoles are designed to provide access to games for people with tight budget and/or low computer literacy. There's nothing wrong with falling into that bracket, I can see why some people opt into buying a console.

A high end PC will do a lot more than a console, we are talking about several genrations weaker PC in somewhere low-mid tier bracket. The console games have loads of visual stuff stripped away to make them run ok. The trade is money. The PC will always cost more.

Still, console exclusives can ♥♥♥♥ themselves.
