Part 2 will have also the same locations (Kalm - Junon - Costa de Sol - Corel - Gold Saucer - Nibelheim - Rockettown - Temple - Forgotten City).
The reworked elements are in general great, a deeper combat system with parry, dodge, weaknesses while in the original game you just needed to outgrind your enemies (minus the 2 superbosses). The added side content helps to build character and flesh out the story which was very bland in the original. It's also great that they turned some enemies in mini bosses like the hell house and it's representation.
The only real "new" stuff is the time travel Sephiroth / Whisper crap which could have been left out but on the plus side the developers could add Sephiroth as "endboss" of Remake Part 1 which would've ended otherwise anticlimatic with Rufus and the street bot which weren't exactly endboss material and in combination with the statement that the Remake will be canon to advent children we can at least guess that all these time travel stuff get resolved and removed at the end of Part 3 (i guess the only thing left will be a parallel universe with Zack&Aerith alive while in this universe they will stay dead).
They can keep the general story beats, but when they are done THIS badly, and the major details around them are "sequel" material then its not a real remake. You don't just end a game with TIME knowledge of the future that was never there before, and then claim to be the same story
They can't even kill Aerith right. They have to make it a Marvel/KH fanservice moment and giant distraction setpiece where they bring her ghost/illusion to fight with Cloud againt 3 versions of a final boss.
Somber moment? Whats that? We needed more explosions.
I just explained in a logical sense that about 99% of the Remake are true to the original minus the 1% time travel bull crap i even pointed out and i also said i don't really like / wasn't necessary. You either didn't read my post or are just trolling and therefore you get reported for spam / trolling. Thanks.
The fact that they change major scenes for the sake of keeping a mystery box going is enough to say this remake does not accurately represent the original.
If they kept the actual same story, then there'd be no issue. But claiming "its still good, its still good", as the story train runs off the rails is not accurate to a good remake.
The 31 January 2107 on Playstation 17
Jokes apart i hope yes.
The remake is nice, but there are still "BUT" since it's incomplete game
They did WHAT with Aerith????????
So, she both dies but it has absolutely no emotional impact. No water funeral scene either.
That game is trash, but its cutscene artstyle is on point.
