Can someone explain this "censorship" thing to me

Okay new to PC but played through on the PS4 and I don't know what people are talking about when they say "Tifa was censored" I don't recall any nudity on the PS4 so was there nudity on PC?

There never was any nudity. The change that some call censorship is described here:

Basically, prior to the patch, Tifa didn't have that black undershirt in the image.

In my opinion, yes. The biggest issue for them typically stems from the fact that the game was changed so long after release. They worry what else could be changed in the future.

The issue for me, beyond just not agreeing with Censorship Period, is that this was done via Stealth in a Patch and it was done long AFTER many people already Bought it. We should not be Okay with Companies going in and making these kinds of Changes long After we Bought it. Skull Girls is another example of Companies doing this. Give them an Inch and they WILL Take a Mile.

It's not much of an issue of what's censored, but that it was even censored at all that's become the problem. We don't need ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ethics activist in video games that should've been about escapism.

Games get updated all the time. It's a good thing because most of the time post launch patches fix issues and bugs they didn't catch before release. Unless the patch is bad and actively makes the game worse (Not the case for the latest FF7 patch) then it becomes an issue.

Depends on why?

Personally I don't really care what they changed.... but its a 4 year old game with the already established content being modified.... the trust to leave their games as what we purchased is shaken. Take that as you will...

Censorship is not good no mater the context.
People in this community keeps defending that the change was not censor, but they seem to not know the difference between a design choice and censor.
