imo I am closing my ps5 preorder and waiting for the pc port. Game looks super blurry in performance mode and only 30 fps in graphics mode just hurts.

According to the demo, you can carry over your data and get a item in the main game for completing the demo.

That's what I'm doing. Also, don't watch the trailer. It pretty much does what Remake's did and spoils some of the big moments.

I'm early on in the demo and yes its soft. Clearly running too low of a resolution then upscaling it with what seems to be checkerboarded (check out the hair on Sephiroth). I don't know if its an early build issue though as even some textures look really low resolution and tables aren't even round (i.e. hexagons). I'm not interested in waiting a year or whatever for PC/Steam (EGS may buy up exclusivity) though.

Other option is to wait for the rumored PS5 Pro and hope they patch it to take advantage of that. Otherwise, the game is fantastic thus far.

The demo does carry over. If you play the demo and beat it you can skip the Introduction mission which the demo covers. Says so on the game demos description.

Like dang, that trailer was epic but definitely a bit much.

I'm gonna have to pretend this sub doesn't exist soon to avoid spoilers until PC release. May the Chocobos and Moogle grant us a swift port.

As for the demo, looking at it on PSN now, I see we get credit for completing the Nibelheim portion. If one does so, they get some bonus items and an accessory.

On February 21, a patch comes and unlocks a modified Junion area, which save data will NOT carry over from.

The full game of Rebirth is based on the section leading up to Forgotten Capital.

Pretty cool to have that information finally. Downloading now, probably will try to swing an hour or two of it tomorrow evening.

I just tried the demo and went HOLY HELL THIS IS UGLY.

I struggled with Spiderman 2 on PS5... I think its time to move past the console and just forget about it... It's just too ugmo

The ps5 can't handle the game that was designed to run on it?
The lighting and motion blur needs some tweaking, but it ran pretty smoothly on performance mode.

I also doubt we'll see a PS5 Pro anytime soon. They're releasing the PS5 Slim to cut manufacturing costs.

Not overly concerned about graphic fidelity, gameplay is WAAAAAAAY more important.

It sounds like this game will a sped up version of FVII remakes gameplay with a better camera and things like perfect parry/dodge. In other words, potential GoTY.

After trying demo, I'm chilling until PC version. FF7RI is so beautiful on PC, the demo is a blurry mess on large TV.
