demo impressions for rebirth
imo I am closing my ps5 preorder and waiting for the pc port. Game looks super blurry in performance mode and only 30 fps in graphics mode just hurts.

You act surprised, like this hasn't been the norm for consoles for years.
You get 60 fps on performance mode, and 30 fps in psuedo-4k.

The blurriness is from the motion blur. They need to tone it down a notch for sure.

I played remake on the ps4 on performance, honestly I dont recall it being this bad.

I thought it was actual slowdown at first, graphics mode is pretty unplayable. I got used to 30fps one last time for FFVIIR and TLOU2 when they came out, it didn't feel like this. Performance was smooth, albeit a bit blurry. Hopefully the motion blur option is tuneable.

lmao ain't no way I'd buy a console to play in 30 fps.

You're talking about a last gen game that came out 4 years ago that had to adhere to the PS4's limitations. The game was not nearly as graphically demanding as Rebirth.

The PS5 updated one has the same scenario though. You can run it in performance mode at 60 fps or in graphics mode at 30 fps.

You can play in 60 fps (and it keeps a solid 60 fps), and graphically it's not much different than "graphics mode", unless you are really eye f-ing the screen for differences.

Yea I put all the ps5 games on performance. I prefer my framerate to a little extra ground clutter. I played Alan Wake 2 on performance. Putting on graphics mode just added some extra grass and slight weather effects.

Classic one is better this demo was ''press this to attack öööh how you put material in weapon'' + Cutscenes.

Alr preordered. Squenix once again proves that they're still one of the best when it comes to animation. Quality mode for me, tho i wish they adopted ff16 system where it automatically switch to performance mode during battle

Quality mode for me. I take 30 fps 4k anyday over 60 fps 1080p

Honestly I started playing quality mode I mean its not great in terms of fps, but kind of forgot about it after a while. Though performance is way to blurry I hope they can make that better.

Performance mode seems to run great, and I honestly can't really play any game at 30 FPS anymore after being used to 60 FPS for many years.

Quick question: is it a playable demo on the PSN that we can play on PS5 and if so, does the save data carry over to the main game when it drops?

The demo is a flashback, so i doubt the save data will carry over

This doesn't happen. In performance mode it lowers the fidelity to "cap" at 60fps, but outside of combat the framerate fluctuates. In fidelity mode it is essentially a locked 30fps.

From what I've read so far, it will be like FF16 where it's the opening of the game and will transfer directly over. There will also be some additional items given for having save data from the demo.

Gonna play the demo today and see how it is.
